As I write this, I am still scratching my head…read more I recently took my old engagement ring to Accent to see how much they would give me. I had taken it to the store that it was purchased from and gotten their price. I just wanted to see how Accent compared. I've never done business with them before, as I am not in the habit of selling jewelry. My diamond was $10K when it was purchased in 2006. Platinum band, ~1 carat natural diamond with excellent clarity. I have the receipt from its purchase, but didn't provide it to Accent - I wanted to see what they'd say. Their offer? ** $575 ** $575 for a $10K ring? How in God's name does a piece of jewelry deteriorate in value that much? I am baffled. And how is it that the jeweler that sold it recently offered me $5K? I understand people need to make a profit - I do. I was not expecting Accent to offer me $10,000. But $575?!?!?! You done lost your mind. I will, of course, be going to my jeweler. Claudia Barr would be so ashamed of you, Accent Jewelers. Tsk, tsk.

I was also told that real diamonds have gone down in value since the new lab cut diamonds are out and more people are buying those ...Take your diamonds somewhere else maybe they are just good at buying silver
