I took a diamond tennis bracelet (that I just inherited from grandmother) in to get some links taken out. I had the 5 diamonds from the links mounted on a cross for my daughter. I went to pick up everything and they didn't give me my gold links from the bracelet. When I asked about the links, the guy went to back and came back with a bag of misc. gold pieces in a bag?! I asked where were my gold links (incase I ever needed them put back in) and he said "oh I probably melted them down". What...who does that?! And, without asking me??!!! I told him I didn't want the bag of misc gold pieces so he offered to take a whopping $25 off my bill!! I could not and still can not believe someone would do something like this. And, act as if it was the norm at their store to melt the gold down and not return it to the owner. But mainly upsetting because they took the liniks to my bracelet that was given to me by grandmother in her willl just broke my heart! I will never return nor will I ever recommend anyone go there! In fact, I tell this story to everyone I know because I don't won't it to happen to them.
