NO STARS!!! Was staying there, my son was playing with another little boy, they were running around…read moreplaying with fake guns belonging to the other boy. The other boys father and brother were both watching them, well the guy that mows the lawn, came out of the bathroom and yelled at my son so much that when my son came home he couldn't even talk to tell me what happened. He was sobbing! I went outside and yelled at the guy that if he has a problem with my son come talk to me don't ever yell at him again! Both the other boys father and brother said my kid didn't do anything wrong. The next morning I printed a formal complaint and left it at the office for when they opened at 9am, was headed over at 9:30 to discuss the complaint when a police officer shower up at my door. They said they called about the gun incident, apparently the gun triggered the guys PTSD, well my kid also has PTSD and no man needs to be yelling at him! We ended up leaving because I was due to pay that day anyway and refused to give them ANY more of my money! No apology from any of the staff or owners! And since this incident I have seen 3 men in different stores with real guns oh their waists, if an orange fake gun is going so triggering for the worker's PTSD perhaps Montana one of the most gun friendly states isn't the place for him! I'd stay far far away from this campground you have kids! Below is the fake gun that was so scary!

Great Alternative to the State Park…read more This is a small, well-kept campground just off the highway, about 15 minutes from Lewis & Clark Caverns. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful. We had a tent site in the back, and all sites are conveniently close to the bathrooms, which were extremely clean and recently updated. A nice bonus--there's free use of a washer and dryer, plus stream access. The highway is nearby, so there is some road noise, but it didn't bother us. We were initially disappointed that we couldn't get into the state park, but this ended up being an even better option. On-site, there's a food truck serving amazing BBQ, live music, a small bar, a general store, and even a gas station. Everything you need is right there. Would definitely stay here again!

The first thing out of the lady's mouth is "SIR, slow it down in my campground"! At this point I'm almost shocked at the unprofessionalism and rudeness! There was no "welcome to the KOA, would you care to slow it down?". Nothing, just plain rude. Needless stay I told her we were no longer interested in staying and left.

We've stayed here several times over the years, and have made this park our primary park when…read moretraveling through Southwest Montana. It's not much to look at, and is an older park. But Roland the owner makes this a great park. It is clean and well maintained. The spots are a bit tight because it was built in the 50's, but they accommodate our 42' MotorHome. He has plenty of overflow parking, and is quiet. There is a stream right across the street where you can do a little fly fishing if you wish. And he has now added ATV rentals! There are 7 side-by side rentals in excellent shape that you can rent to explore the numerous back roads and mountains that surround Anaconda. Rentals are reasonable! You can rent for an hour, half day, or full day if you wish. Stay here a couple of days. You won't be disappointed!
