A very short walking bridge, right in the campground takes you to "Dog Island "where dogs can be off the leash. It's a huge area and has larger pools for swimming in the river. Great fishing, swimming and kayaking on the river. We would definitely return here. There is really nothing within about 30 miles of this campsite, but we enjoyed staying put and the beauty of the area.

Long, pull through sites. Level gravel pads. Each site has its own grassy area with picnic table. Water and electric only. No mature trees, so sites are not shaded. No cell service. WiFi is free, but spotty. Worked well enough for us. $30 per night 30 amp, $32 for 50 amp. $2/night per dog. Nice dog run area. Owner very friendly and helpful. Came over to greet us with a packet of info about the area. Lovely family history. Good base camp for nearby fishing. Also within driving distance of ghost towns and Crystal State Park where you can dig for quartz crystals. After weeks of RV Parks next to highways and railroads, the peace here was pure bliss. The nights are so quiet, perfect for restful sleep.

But Roland the owner makes this a great park. It is clean and well maintained. The spots are a bit tight because it was built in the 50's, but they accommodate our 42' MotorHome. He has plenty of overflow parking, and is quiet. There is a stream right across the street where you can do a little fly fishing if you wish. And he has now added ATV rentals! There are 7 side-by side rentals in excellent shape that you can rent to explore the numerous back roads and mountains that surround Anaconda. Rentals are reasonable! You can rent for an hour, half day, or full day if you wish. Stay here a couple of days. You won't be disappointed!
