I found the exact type of Jeep Wrangler I was looking for on their website for the right price and then set up time with Jade to look at the car. The car was perfect and it checked out in tip-top shape when I took it to an independent Jeep specialist. The real star of this story was Jade. He worked with me even though I was actually the one with the baggage. My bank was being pretty difficult to work with when it came time to arrange the financing. To make matters worse, I was leaving for a nice tropical vacation in two days and didn't have time to deal with endless paperwork. Jade arranged for basically the same great financing I had gotten with my bank with his preferred bank. Not only did he do that, but Jade also made sure to take care of the car while I was away on vacation. I came back a week later and all the insurance, registration, and safety inspection work had already been taken care of, all I had to do was hop in the car and drive away. What a great place: a nice selection of vehicles, trustworthy sales people, and an overall smooth process all around.

My first car was purchased here, in 2021 when I was in college! In a way, I regret buying a car…read moreduring that time, as there was a car chip shortage so limited car inventory at many dealerships & prices were marked up for this reason. I was leaning towards getting a used low mileage car but due to the chip shortage, a used car was not much cheaper, so a new car it was! I had gone to multiple different Honda dealerships all around MA just looking for somewhere to have ANY car left on the lot to buy. Originally, I was not even looking into getting a Honda at all but I was intrigued by hybrid vehicles! Ended up getting a Honda Insight Hybrid that had cloth interior and if I wanted leather, it would've been another couple of months until it would arrive lol. It was the first cloth interior car that I ever had/driven & it was not a fun time. Stains easily & super difficult to clean! The car itself was great though, can't complain. The estimated mpg was said to be ~55mpg but most of the time, I am able to get 77/mpg, so definitely gas efficient & only cost me ~$20/tank of gas. For example, a trip to NYC and even driving through NJ/Fort Lee, I only had to fill the tank once on the way back in RI! So this is a great commuter/road trip car. It's too bad they stopped manufacturing this model in 2022. BUT if I was not in so much of a need of getting a car at the time, I probably wouldn't have ever gotten it. This is because the salesman I had wasn't great & was actually a college kid lol. Very pushy attitude and was not knowledgeable about the cars offered at the dealership... This unfortunately goes for most of the salesmen/saleswomen here though. I never went here for services, only have to deal with oil changes still and haven't had any actual issues yet to this day.

Was told by Marc, salesman who sold me the vehicle, that nothing can be done since I already picked up the vehicle. He said if it was noticed before picking up car it would have been fixed! Terrible customer service! Rocker panel can cut your leg entering and exiting vehicle as well as the potential of falling off and causing an accident. Would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them.

We were only planning to "start looking" and thought car shopping would take weeks. This was the very first dealership we visited and we ended up buying a car the same day. That truly says everything. David Tolbert was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. There was no pressure at all. just honest guidance and excellent customer service. We were greeted at the door with a big smile, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The manager Justin and Mike from the finance department also came out personally to introduce themselves. what an amazing team they have! It truly felt different from a typical car buying experience, in the best possible way. The whole team made us feel valued and appreciated. After doing my research, I can confidently say they gave us the BEST DEAL. Everything was transparent, smooth, and completely stress free. We are excited to share our experience with family and friends, and I will absolutely recommend Parkway Toyota of Boston to anyone I know. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

When reviewing numbers in person, the salesperson (Jose) presented a price of $27,266, explaining that the advertised price only applied if we financed with them--this was not clearly disclosed online. More concerning, an additional $1,800 charge was added for "reconditioning / Gold certification," even though the online listing already stated the vehicle was certified. This fee was never disclosed before the visit. When I objected and said this was not acceptable, Jose spoke with his manager and returned offering to reduce the fee to $1,500. This step matters: if it were a mistake, it should have been removed immediately--not partially reduced to see if we would accept it. We declined and left. After we left, the manager (Scott) called and acknowledged the $1,800 was not disclosed online and offered to remove it entirely, framing it as a concession rather than a correction. By then, trust was gone. This was not a simple error--it was an undisclosed add-on pushed incrementally, only reversed after firm refusal and walking out. Buyers should get all pricing confirmed in writing and watch carefully for last-minute fees that change the advertised price! Avoid this place like the plague!

However, the owner is a real salesman, in a back slapping kind of way, and either tells you that he'll find the car you need, or try to sell you an existing car on the lot. In my case, I described what I was looking for and he happened to be headed to an auction the following day. When I looked at the car, none of the tires matched, it didn't track right during the test drive, and the engine had a knock. There were various other issues, all of which he said he could fix if I decided to buy the car. I was left with the impression that this car, which was described as perfect, would end up costing me a lot more once he started servicing the vehicle. It seemed really sketchy and I couldn't accept that he'd 'take care of me' after I bought the car which had obvious problems.

The problem is, they do not account for the flaws in their pricing and do not fix them before selling. Prior to selling a friend a Subaru they promised to have the vehicle ready to roll with no safety or mechanical defects. We noticed that there was water in the headlight - something that should have been addressed before it went onto the lot. We had the car examined by another mechanic who said that the transmission needed replacement. After a bit of prodding Royal's owner agreed to install a new transmission. They spent about 12 days working on the car before telling us it was ready. Upon receiving it we found that they had not installed a new transmission but had taken a rebuilt one and slapped it in, covering it with paint and a layer of silicone to make it look new. In a nutshell that's all you need to know about Royal Used Car Sales. Stay away!
