My stay at this Hyatt Place was unfortunately very disappointing. Breakfast was terrible -- the food was cold, the options were extremely limited, and even the bagels weren't pre‑cut, which meant trying to slice them with a plastic knife was almost impossible. For a hotel breakfast, the quality and setup were far below expectations. While the city's main water line breaking was outside the hotel's control, the way the situation was handled made everything significantly worse. I woke up at 6 a.m. with no running water and a room phone that didn't work, so I called the front desk from my cell. The employee (I believe his name was Sorios) was extremely rude, snarky, and dismissive. He told me I could "go downstairs and get a water bottle to brush my teeth," and when I explained I was in pajamas and asked if it could be brought up, he said he had "more calls to answer," as if the request was unreasonable. He then made a sarcastic remark about "writing down that I wanted them to predict when the water line would break." His tone and attitude were disrespectful and completely unprofessional during an already stressful situation. The beds were also very hard, which added to an overall uncomfortable stay. The one truly positive part of this experience was Renee, the front desk manager. She was warm, helpful, and genuinely a pleasure to interact with. Her professionalism and kindness stood out immediately. I even called Hyatt directly to make sure she received the praise she deserves. If the water situation had been fixable, I would have stayed longer because of her alone. This review reflects the hotel experience as a whole and does not reflect on Renee in any way. Came here for the first time. Not too shabby. Our room 423 was perfect for my me and my wife. There was a mini fridge, coffee, couch and ottoman, desk, king sized bed, TV, and bathroom with a glass door shower. There's an open bar, but limited on choices and no mixers. They have comp breakfast, but nothing special about it. Staff are very friendly. Lots of parking. Lights, A/C, outlets, and water pressure for the shower and toilet worked fine. A few stains here and there on the walls, but mostly a nice hotel room. It could use a deep clean because the carpet is a bit dirty looking lol. read more

I have no idea how this hotel has an above rating of 3. probably one of the worst places I've stayed in a long time. I don't think they've ever cleaned their AC units which are full of mold and mildew, broken faucet in kitchen area, the closet door which is basically a mirror that it's trim is falling off which exposes very sharp edges. Shower had a high pitch whistle when it's on, found a hair ball in the bathtub. The property and rooms averagely maintained at best. A motel 6 is a better stay than this place. paying almost $200 a night is a joke for this hotel. Staff is super frustrated and said the owner is cheap, won't hire appropriate staff, and doesn't really care. Its a franchised owned hotel. Run far, far away from this place. read more

I stayed for a week. I got a room on the 6th floor, end of the hallway. This is ideal, I had the top floor ( so no upstairs noise) and less foot traffic ( end of the hallway is like living at the end of a culdasac, no one goes there unless they have a reason, or there room is there). Nicely lit parking lot and fast check in process. The room was super clean, w/ modern decorations, and spaciousfloorplan. We had a nice sectional couch with a wet bar refrigerator, and two double beds. They were super comfy with three pillows each. The shower was really hot with a nice showerhead. Only thing missing was a microwave since we could've used it for leftovers. Breakfast is really good with turkey bacon, eggs, potatoes, donut holes, yogurt bar and the standard other accompaniments. read more

Perfect place for a quick trip to Fort Worth to meet family for Mother's Day weekend. Rooms are the standard Hyatt king bed with a living area with a corner couch that can be a sleeper sofa. Nice to also have a work desk and small area with a microwave and a refrigerator. Breakfast in the morning was nice. Scrambled eggs, tacos, tortillas, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. I booked two rooms here for my wedding weekend, along with the conference room to take photos with my wedding guests--and everything turned out beautifully. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire weekend, which made things so much smoother during such a busy time. Breakfast was great each morning, and the location couldn't have been better. The HyattPlace hotel in Hurst was ok but I'm trying to determine if the three day cleaning policy for towels and sheets apply the day you check in or if the sheets haven't been changed. As you can see in the photos the pillows and sheets are filthy. Not to mention the nasty looking dollar store curtain lien and the fact that our room did not even have a room number on it. Booked this room for our 4 night stay in Texas and I was very disappointed. We were first booked on the 2nd floor in a wheel chair accessible room for my daughter. The room smelt horrible, they are currently having sewage issues on that floor and you definitely can smell it. The room was very run down and outdated, which was highly disappointing. We requested a different room which was a lot better. Management needs to invest in their hotel, elevator was falling apart and felt like it was going to break at some points. They also charge $15 dollars a night upfront for dining fees. Which they don't tell you your being charged for. You do get it refunded but please make your customers aware of this before charging. read more

Overall, room seemed to be in need of a good cleaning and updating. Lobby bar was having issues with wine delivery, and only had limited merlot as a choice. Most mornings the fruit was totally gone by 8:00, coffee was often empty, utensils were gone, only baked goods were toast or bagels or tiny plain muffins that were obviously dry and stale. I had a lovely stay here. The Hyatt Place has a gym, incredible service, and great breakfast! They don't have room service, but they do have the next best thing: Order and Retrieve. So, I placed my order, took a shower, and went downstairs to pick up my beer and pizza. I was able to enjoy my dinner in peace on the couch in front of the TV in my PJs. This was perfect. I had a great night's sleep and was able to enjoy breakfast in the AM. I'm glad they had protein and non-pork options for me to enjoy. It's always annoying when there isn't much I can enjoy in a free breakfast. Good find for anyone in the area! I'd stay here again if I return to Hurst, TX. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they were able to take a last minute reservation and accommodate us and our pup with a late check-in past the check-in hours. I decided to stay here because I am a Triple A member and because it was twenty minutes away from the venues that I was here for. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they managed to help me find some restaurants that were great. However, I made a request for two sets of towels and the young man in question only brought one set. I tried to call the front desk from my room but no one picked up the phone. So I came down at 4am looking for someone at the concierge desk and there wasn't anyone, I did ring the bell as well but no one was around. I left a post it note on the phone so that they could bring me two sets of towels and toilet paper because there's no Housekeeping during covid only if you specifically request a visit. I did receive the items that were requested at 5am. The floor of the bathroom was dirty, the only reason why you could see that it was dirty was some water fell on the floor and the tissue that was used to clean it came up dirty. The hotel is in a great location, non noisy in front of the police station, city hall and near some great restaurants but the cleanliness is a major issue which shouldn't be an issue on the fifth floor maybe the first floor. Fix the issues and I would love to make this my home away from home. read more

We were caught off guard with the hidden $15/night "incident fees" that were charged when paying, despite getting those back upon departure. Stayed here for two nights, room was relatively comfortable and quiet considering the location. However, the room was quite dirty. Multiple black hairs and dead insects on the sheets. Also, the location seems to be quite understaffed. We had to wait for ~10 minutes to check in because the front desk was unoccupied (the worker who showed up said he was checking on the 'pool' although the he pool had been shut down for a week due to health violations). Also, the '6:30' breakfast wasn't put out until 7:00 (very inconvenient when you're trying to check out early). There are plenty of options in the area, find somewhere else. read more

We stayed for 2 days, besides the building improvements going on I have to say they are amazing. The customer service, the greetings, and how they treat you was outstanding. Room smells and look clean, everything was on point. The noise was none, and I have been in another hyatts and you can hear the traffic. The lady in the front always a wonderful one (I forgot her name) when we check in (Feb 26 2020) she was so nice to my kids which every parent are grateful for that, especially when you have toddlers. The breakfast wasn't good enough, but considering they were remodeling and improving, I can give them another change some other time. Stayed here for a weekend earlier in December. I wasn't expecting the huge room I got for the price I paid so that was a really cool surprise. There's a fridge but I couldn't find a microwave. The bathroom was a bit small but hey, it's a bathroom and it was clean. The beds were super fluffy and comfy and the AC can really put in work and freeze the place if you're into that! The breakfast was nothing special but it was good and a nice way to snack while the day started. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again! My family lives in Hurst, this is a central location to all my relatives. Within fives minutes I can be in someones home. So of course it makes since to stay here! Easy to book, easy checkin and out, great rooms, very spacious, clean and fresh! We had fifth floor this time with a view, very nice! This hotel looked very old and the rooms were ok not what I expected out of a Hyatt. When we got to the room I started to disinfect everything. When I got to the bed it was horrible. A big yellow stain on the thick cover that I know they should have seen and tried to cover it up because it was in the folded part. There was also other stains that looked about like grease stains on them as well. When I called the front desk she apologized and brought new ones....that I had to change, didn't really like that very much. The tv was giving off a lot of heat, when we walked pass it you could feel it on your arm. Not sure how safe that is. The room set up wasn't bad but I don't be going back to the hotel. read more

Stayed here two nights for a wedding. It's advertised as a pet friendly hotel offering 24/7 dining, a bar, a pool and fitness center. I'm pretty easy going but this was kind of a rough stay. The ac unit was so loud I couldnt sleep and therefore was also hot. Due to covid there was no pool access until the morning we left. The "24/7 dining" apparently meant apples, bananas or yogurt so we opted to order out and pay for breakfast. There was no bar. The one elevator in use was so slow we used the stairwell most of the stay. I paid in advance but apparently it didn't hold the charge to my card and ultimately I ended up paying $40 more than my original discounted booking bringing this stay to $200 for two nights of bad sleep with no included breakfast. read more

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It's very neat and clean with great parking. The staff is very polite, Christy was the best. She made sure that everything was done as best she could and that you were satisfied. However they have no knowledge of the bar/drink and food area. With COVID, the breakfast choices are limited to just a few fruits, muffins, and juices pretty much. You can purchase some items from the front desk like water, sodas and snacks, but they are way overpriced. The front desk clerk is also the bartender and it's horrible. They definitely need some training. Most of the housekeepers don't speak a English so every request had to made though the front desk. Would I stay here again, probably not. read more

I have stayed in this hotel at least a dozen times over the last few years. They give you a free shuttle ride if you sign up in advance, which makes it easy to get to my office across the freeway. The staff is always genuinely concerned about your welfare and glad to have you staying at their property. They have snacks and a bar that are open until pretty late and you can order food all hours of the day. I initially really enjoyed their free breakfast, but have grown tired of the canned fruits and dry breakfast entrees that they put out each day. The entrees are a bit fancy. For example, they will put bacon egg and cheese on top of an English muffin and then toast it together. But for the last several visits the bread the egg the cheese have all been sitting out for some time. My favorite part of the free breakfast has to be the beverages. The orange juice and the tomato juice taste as if they've been freshly squeezed here in the hotel. I don't drink coffee so I can't really comment on how good that is, but other visitors from the office I think that it is pretty good. The rooms are also fairly large and you can definitely stretch out on both the sofas and the beds. They have good irons and ironing boards in the rooms and a large screen TV. So, in summary, the best thing about the property is the friendly staff and the second-best thing are the free rides. The rooms are also very comfortable large and clean. But you might want to eat breakfast elsewhere even though it is offered here for free. But grab beverage before you leave. read more

The air-conditioning didn't work and when it tried to work it made a sound like a nest a birds chirping all. night. long. The closet mirror also had several floor to ceiling cracks, which didn't add to the ambiance. I'm already not a fan of the sink not inside the bathroom, so this hotel chain is out for me from now on. I really liked this place and have stayed here quite a few times. It is my go to place anytime I visit DFW area which I do about every 3 months or so. The hard thing is the staff is so nice and attentive. However I just can't overlook the cleanliness of the common areas. The stainless in the elevators had the same fingerprints and what looked like a coffee or other drink spill. I checked in on Tuesday evening and checked out Friday morning and none of them had been cleaned. The other was the breakfast area. tables not wiped crumbs all over the place. It opens at 6 am. I was the first at breakfast and there looked to be potatoes and large toast crumbs on the floor. Since I was the first one there, they must have been from the morning before. Last thing was there was a family who would come and eat barefoot. Restaurants would never let you do this. They need to enforce this here as well. read more

We stayed here in August for my brother in laws Memorial. What was a sad occasion was met with so much compassion and love. The personal service Erin and Amanda showed all of our family exceeded any expectation. We returned for a four night stay and where met with smiles, hugs from Amanda and Erin. They remembered each of us and every detail was perfect. They make our stay feel like we are staying with family. They have really set the standard high. Our group of 9 reserved two adjoined rooms for two nights. Upon arrival, the front desk was being run by a young girl trying her best to trouble shoot with their POS down. The manager wasn't on site to help assist, and didn't seem to help much over the phone with the front desk associate. We were told we wouldn't be able to have adjoined rooms despite requesting it and contacting customer service prior to our stay to confirm. We were told by the front desk associate that no one reads the notes on reservations and that there's nothing they could do. With no other front desk staff to help, and the worker being on call, we were disappointed to have to wait an hour to get our keys. They also said they ran out of keys and had to take housekeeping keys to magnetize for guests. The rooms sleep 6 and are only given three bath towels, no extras in the closet. The breakfast was a better hotel breakfast but was hoping to have some of the Starbucks in the lobby but their only machine was out of order. The rooms are cleaned by really diligent and thorough housekeepers and I'm sure they go through a lot cleaning a hotel with such poor front of house management. It didn't seem like we had a unique experience as there were other guests waiting at the front desk for a while with similar issues. While trying to return our keys at midnight, we met a customer who had been locked out of his room as his card wasn't working. He stated he had been waiting for staff to come to the desk for 45 minutes.... Very poorly run but at least clean. We stayed here recently for a few nights. It's hard to write reviews when I have a mixed experience. The housekeeping staff were great - our room was cleaned and organized each day and I felt like they did a good job. For the most part, our stay was quiet, with the exception of an occasional slammed door. The elevators were pretty quick, granted we were only on the second floor. Breakfast was really good - there were lots of options, including breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal with plenty of toppings. Everything that I tasted was good. The highchairs were hidden, but I just had to ask and someone got one for me right away. For some reason, they have spotlights directed straight up in to the windows of the guestrooms. It wouldn't be that bad if the curtains closed all the way and didn't leave a gap in the middle for that bright light to shine in the room all night - no blackout for us. The thing that really upset me was when we came down to breakfast and sat next to a couple with a young daughter (she was maybe 2, but probably not even quite that old). The family themselves were fine, but when they left and their toddler had of course left a bit of a mess, an employee (whom I assume was a manager based on how I saw her interact with other staff) walked over and audibly said "Oh my God!" And then loudly called over to another employee "Look at this. That is so disrespectful." 1. Super unprofessional. There are a number of better ways she could have handled the situation. 2. It was a mess left by a toddler at a table there for eating at. It happens. It could have easily been my kids. In fact, I'm sure my kids probably left a mess. And I bet she griped about that out loud, in front of guests, to another employee, too. That really put a bad taste in my mouth for this place. read more
