Upon first arrival you'll be greeted with a new location with a nice smooth pavement parking lot. Sometimes you'll also find brats being grilled outside. Walking in, there are HUGE shopping carts that are super tall. I have no idea why they're so tall. Are people in this part of Wisconsin all 6'6" and taller? Highlights from my visits are: - A wide selection of produce here that's all fresh with both organic and non-organic options. - Fancy hippie drinks section with locally made kombucha - Lots of different cuts of meat with organic options available - Shelves stocked with a good selection of packaged foods - Beer, wine, liquor section with a huge walk-in beer cooler. Bring a sweater or jacket. It's freezing in there! - I love all the locally sourced options. I noticed local options for wine, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, and beer. Checking out once you've selected all your great food and drink is a breeze. Checkout lines have been short every time I've been there. And the best part, at the end you'll have a friendly teenage runner/loader who will walk you to your car and load your groceries for you! Wegmans, you better look out. Today marks this stores second visit and just as last time I'm quite pleased with the store. This location has twice offered a very fresh and varied selection of seafoods. The never frozen Ahi Tuna was something I was eyeing but decided the 29.99/lb. was steeper than I was comfortable paying. Choosing a couple much less costly fillets of wild caught steelhead trout, that I initially thought was an Alaskan salmon by the crimson flesh. The other items are also something I want to proclaim praises. Usually when I buy a bag of little oranges, Halis or tangerines or whatever purists might correct my ignorance, a few are good a couple are bad and none are fantastic. But the bag I bought last visit, as well as some other primo fruit and veges I bought, were what made me drive the additional 12 miles out of my route to arrive at this place tonight. Stellar. Last time I was here one guy was cashier and another bagged the stuff. This time I felt like a dumb shit when the cashier stared at me because I didn't self bag. I guess I was easily spoiled. But the next cash wrap had someone doing this, so I think I was in line expecting the same. Dumb teenagers, they don't wanna do anything. Dumb old people, expecting teenagers to be any different than we were. People are dumb. How else did tRump get a job that only required him to piss away hours on a smart phone, and not get fired?

Woodman's Market is a local Wisconsin brand of markets that puts every other market I have shopped at to shame. They are community focused and worker owned, which is really cool in today's corporate driven retail environment. In addition to their mission, they are solely grocery driven, meaning they focus on food, and lots of it...you will not find a wide variety of clothing, toys, seasonal items, etc...here, just food, lots and lots of food, and drinks. The store itself is MASSIVE, overwhelmingly so. However it is so thoughtfully laid out and spaced very well. Aisles are wide, sections are very clear and well defined and again, the selection is unreal. This is repeated throughout the store with every section from produce, veggies, snacks, frozen, meats, drinks, etc... In addition to the impressive variety of goods, Woodman's also has a gas station, service/lube station (oil changes), car wash and of course a well-stocked and good sized liquor store! Legit, everything. The store is well maintained conditionally and was very clean, inside and out. Service was top notch as well. From the cart attendance to the stock associate to the cashier...all were great! Overall, Woodman's Market is currently my favorite grocery store in the country. And I am honestly willing to throw hands over it. In addition to restaurants and other spaces I visit when in WI, Woodman's is always considered a priority stop!
