One of the last places that I checked out m while I was in the Kansas City area. This place was close to a few amenities that I wanted to check out. The store was absolutely huge and had everything that I was looking for at a grocery store. The health food section was absolutely great and it was at a fair price. The liquor section wasn't too bad at all either. The half of here was pretty good too it was a fair selection of items to choose from. This review is for Hy-Vee Aisles Online Lenexa Ks location. I placed a grocery delivery order yesterday for delivery today from 10am to 11am November 30, 2024 directly with Hy-Vee Aisles Online. I received a text message from Door Dash that their driver had backed out of picking up the order (probably because it was snowing). I contacted Lindsey at Hy-Vee and she intervened and my delivery was made at 11:40 am. She did a great job for me !! The Door Dash driver that made the delivery apologized for the delay. read more

Horrible customer service! I bought some groceries and a bottle of wine. I gave the woman working the checkout my ID and she refused to take it. She checked with the manager who didn't even look at my ID and shook his head and walked away. I went to customer service and tried to figure out what the issue was and the lady just held up my ID to the same manager who was behind me. Same thing, he just shook his head no and didn't say anything. I asked if there was a manager I can speak to and he finally came over and said "We've had a lot of issues with fake IDs and we can't accept yours." He and I went back and forth for about 10 minutes before he rolled his eyes and said "fine." When he rang up the wind and scanned my ID he said "Oh, wow, that actually worked." That was in late 2022. I left and haven't been back since. The gas station is okay though, and they have great coffee. read more

This Hyvee is awful. They're constantly out of stock of items and take forever to restock because their employees just stand around talking. They never have more than one actual register open and if you get stuck in self checkout and need assistance, good luck. They'll all look over at you but not help unless you ask them even though your light is very clearly red. We did their drive up for groceries yesterday and after they delayed my pickup time by an hour and a half(!) they took over ten minutes to approach my car and ask for the name and then I got home and realized they left out 5 items that I was still charged for and now no one will answer their phone. I'd rather drive out of my way to a different store than the 5 minutes this one is away from my house because of the experiences I've had here. read more

Have always used this store. The last several months, I've noticed attention is lacking in produce department. No longer can you depend on picking up house iceberg lettuce mix. It's always gone by dinner time. Produce overall doesn't seem the superior quality it once was. Maybe I should try another location. read more

This is my regular store, I drive past 2 different other grocery stores because of the attitude, lack of attention to customers and friendliness. This store isn't quite as big as the location on 40 hwy, but that's ok, sometimes size doesn't count. This store is always clean, well stocked, shelves are fronted nicely and very rarely if ever have I seen them be out of stock of anything Yeah we have all heard the friendly smile in every aisle ad and for the most part it is true, if you can't find something at this store they don't just give you a aisle number down on the left or right they walk you there to the item or if they can't they find someone who will. If I have but one complaint...it's that the check out counters are too close to the aisles which makes it a touch crowded when the store is extremely busy Aisles are labeled extremely well and the prices are as good as anywhere else...want to know why I cross town...look at the first few lines read more

Literally with the dress code and low pay and more such as driving to and from. The job cost me more than it was worth. My gosh, this is like the Honey Boo Boo of Hy-Vee locations. It's an absolute cluster, and the clientele is...interesting. On a Friday evening, grocery stores are usually busy but not packed. This place was absolutely packed. Impossible to get in, impossible to get out, and it took me 10 minutes to check out, at the express line, with two 6-packs of beer. Yep, that's all I had. And by the way, the beef was overly expensive. Two 6-packs of craft beer (Mother's Spring Batch and Deschutes Mirror Pond) were like $19 with tax. Sorry, that's ridiculous. The store itself is run down and showing its age. The people, both staff and customers, are friendly but a bit rough around the edges. I wouldn't expect the best service here by any means, based on my interactions with a few staff. I will take a wide berth around this Hy-Vee because I assume a full run of groceries would take about three days to complete based on my experience. read more

Everytime I see a really good sale, it comes with a limit of one. Is this a store for singles? What family needs only one jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce? Or one pound of hamburger? This is my second time using Aisles Online, but fist time for this Hy-Vee. This one delivers, so I chose that option instead of picking up my order. You basically choose what you want online, be it groceries or household supplies and just add it to your virtual cart; save for alcohol. Then choose delivery or pickup from the store you previously selected. Easy! read more

Second I thought I was in ny or calli. Wtf? Con-they don't have a discount card so you must have coupons to save any money Con- they forget to ring up items. Selling them to the next person in line. Or like my friend in the next line over. Forget to put bags in your cart so it sits there for a few orders. She actually had to point it out to the cashier "hey is this the older man before me's bag?" the answer was no. Con-advertised "SALE" is actually the same as normal price. 10/$5 is not any better then 8/$4 makes me wonder who they fool? Honestly the prices alone will make me never go back there. Let me preface that I have talked to management twice this year about finding expired food on their shelves; usually a few weeks pay the sell-by date. I had an appointment in Independence on 1/11/2020. I had not been to that store before so I decided since I'm here I'll go in and get a few things. I wanted to purchase a Hy-Vee brand 1lb. container of Spring Salad. There were 10 on the shelf. Out of those 10 only 3 were useable ( dated 1/21/20. The others were dated 1/1/20 or 12/31/19. I took 3 of them to the correct department to show them to whomever was there at the time out of courtesy for the store. The girl at the counter was very kinf. When she told her manager, she on the other hand was angry with me. Check your dates. I know it's not a big deal to them, but I won't be going back. read more

I'm not really sure why this Hyvee is my favorite grocery store. They could use a better Mexican/Hispanic/Asian selection. But what they lack in culture, they make up for in their health foods section. The health foods section at the front of the store transports you into a seemingly entirely different store. The health foods section is about the size of a small health foods store in a downtown environment, so I'd say it's holding its own :) I have noticed that Hyvee sales run on about a six week cycle. If something is on sale this week, and you don't need it, bank on getting it on sale in six weeks. Also, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE HYVEE PIZZA. It's delicious. One of my favorite pizzas :) read more

We used this Hy-Vee to cater our wedding, and it was a great choice. We were doing a "tea" themed reception, and they really nailed it. The little tea sandwiches were delicious, and we also got fruit trays and meat/cheese platters which went really well with everything. The catering department was very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend using this Hyvee for reasonably priced and delicious catering to anyone. read more

This place is an absolute JOKE. I would be very weary before shopping here! The management, isn't really management at all. It's a playground for all the people pretending they're managers, pretending they're even capable of managing a crap in the toilet. Their "process" for hiring "managers" is quite obvious. It must go something like, well this person really sucks at their job..I bet they would suck even worse if we gave them a management position, lets do it! Everything is over priced. They try to trick you with this Fuel Savers program, when its really just a bunch of bull. They're preying on the morons like themselves that go "HEY, there is 10 cent fuel saver on these bananas. I'll buy 20 of them and save a crap ton on gas!" I guess they expect all their clientele to not have a high school diploma let alone a GED. My family and I used Hyvee catering for my wedding this June. We ordered 4 different kinds of pizza, bruschetta, rainbow rotini pasta salad, and shrimp bow tie pasta salad. The food was delicious and the wedding buffet of pizza and appetizers looked really nice with my wedding colors and flowers. People kept asking where we got the pizza and many said it was some of the best pizza they had ever had. Aura, catering manager, is extremely professional and did an awesome job. If you are considering a catering option at your wedding or celebration, the Hyvee team will do an excellent job! do not try their starbucks - totally inept employees (took 10 minutes to hand me a cup of foam). after telling them this is not what i expected (i order this same thing at many other starbucks) i was told "that's the way it's made so if you want us to remake it - you'll get the same thing. i asked for a refund - after the employee stood at the register for another ten minutes she called for a manager who then asked for my receipt (which i never received!!!) i told them nevermind just keep my money. horrible customer service read more

I love Hyvee, and since the company is based here in the midwest, it always feels more personal and more accessible than other grocery chains, if that makes sense. This location is the only one I visit. It's open 24 hours so I almost always prefer shopping late at night, because during the daytime it can get pretty crowded and the lines are usually long. But at 10 or 11 at night, I can get in and out quickly, or depending on my mood, I can take my time without any other customers giving me the stink eye. There's a pharmacy, floral department, health food section, and they have a really great selection of beers, and they give you the option to create your own six-pack, which my husband loves. There's even a gas station right outside, and I can get a discount on my gas with a same-day purchase inside. I can pretty much find anything here, so yay Hyvee. I missed you when I was living on the west coast! Just don't try checking out at midnight, when the system closes and the drawers are counted. It only takes a few minutes, but it defeats the purpose of grocery shopping in the middle of the night in order to save time. read more

The managers at this store are rude and experts at defensive tactics and at conveying the message that it is always the customers fault. Nancy (who was supposedly taking my transferred call as a manager?) was really good at making sure she responded In a hostile manner to questions she does not know answer for and does not want to find the answer to...though she did say she could look up answer to question but would not do that over the phone...(I had been told previously a week ago to call back for answer) ..but the best part is that Nancy hangs up on customers, Wow...she hung up on me after belittling me for even asking the question. I was a manager at a call center and employees knew hanging up on customers asking questions was termination and if I took a call over from an agent, I treated the caller with respect. But, looks like that is not the expectation at this Hyvee,at least not for managers or those who pretend to be managers there. read more
