The interior is very nice and beautifully decorated with tons of pictures on the wall and a packed bar. It's split into rooms and is very cosy and romantic. The menu is very Danish with lots of Smørebrød. We decided to order a combo to share for lunch. It came with fried fish, roasted pork and cheese to put on top of nice dense bread. The toppings were also on the side like a Remoulade, Pickled cucumber and braised cabbage. It was delicious and I really enjoyed it. They have their own craft beer here and you can ask for it. They also have a Christmas special Beer from a local brewery which was very nice. The Christmas auavit was also lovely. I would happily come here again. It's great food, friendly service and decent portions. A gem of a place in Copenhagen for a delicious Smørebrød.

The hostess responded "It doesn't matter because we are completely booked. I don't have a table for you." I looked around and the restaurant was completely empty. Not a single patron. I thanked her and left. My husband and I spent quite awhile on the sidewalk nearby researching other restaurants and during that time no one entered the restaurant. The place was still completely empty when we walked away quite a while later. The hostess was standing out front and deliberately avoided eye contact with me. While we were walking to another restaurant we saw some graffiti around the corner that said "Tourist go home." Loud and clear, Copenhagen. Loud and clear.

The waiter was not as welcoming as one could wish for, and when I asked for a vegetarian option (non listed on the menu), he couldn't come up with any suggestions on the spot. He did however return after talking to the Chef, and I ended up getting a delicious salad. The few available items on the menu were great, and everyone in the party really liked the food. The steak was the biggest hit, I think.

If you're not here when it first opens in the morning, you may need to wait or find another place to eat, since it's one of few places that open before 10 on a weekend. The breakfast choices were divine. Egg over rye toast, or the full breakfast special complete with delicious ham, cheese, melons, fried egg, and rye bread. So good and so fresh, I was in LOVE. I honestly do not know what to say about the rating for this place on Yelp. Both times I went, I came out extremely happy and satisfied with everything. Lovely gem of a place.

Sure you can pay double at another spot close to city center, but with easy train rides there from the AC you'll get a little walking exercise plus only spend a fraction of your hotel savings on transportation. Excellent views await on most floors, especially nice if you score a corner room. Add to your health-factor with a stroll, run, or bike ride across the street in the large green spaces next door. If it's too cold the exercise faculty is also spacious with a good variety of machines. Service was impeccable and hotel dining was tasty for a meal on-site. Plenty of amenities except what is the infatuation with instant coffee? But everything remained well-stocked and the room was comfortable. We will look forward to the next visit and would stay again.

But, with the stunning views of Copenhagen, modern vibe, unique architecture, even views of the water, downtown, old rooftops, windmills (yep)..... I'm impressed with this bar. There's really no other bar at this level and height to treat you to this panoramic experience. Drinks are not consistent so I've resolved myself to, aquavit, Schnapps, Danish/Sandinavian beer. Can't go wrong with those and if you're ok with the above this place is fun to end your day just before the sunsets at 10pm in summer. Service: It's common in Copenhagen to wave at your wait person to get attention, in a resto, a bar, a store. I used to think this is not good but it is what it is. Unless you are at a Michelin restaurant, wait staff do expect you to ask for help by waving them to come over or asking. It is a service philosophy that I've learned to accept. Visits: many Tip: You don't have to be a guest at the AC Bella Hotel to enjoy this bar. It's open after 10:30am - until 11pm.
