The Surprise Visit: Last week, a technician showed up at my door unannounced, claiming he was there for the quarterly cleaning. There was zero communication to schedule this or confirm I was available. Because I had already made arrangements with a local family friend who does a phenomenal job, I turned the technician away. The $199 "Cancellation Fee": When I spoke to my account manager to cancel the service, I was told I'd be hit with a $199 fee. I find it incredibly unfair to be penalized for canceling a service when the company missed the first follow-up entirely and failed to schedule the second one. Final Thought: It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging their scheduling errors, they chose to double down on a steep cancellation fee. I'd recommend looking for a company that prioritizes communication and doesn't rely on "gotcha" contract terms.
