A neighbor requested to see it as she needs one. Upon opening the awning, it was fine, but it would not close completely into the trough. I called on March 24, 2026, and spoke with Elizabeth, who was very helpful and explained that they were extremely busy and short-handed. It would take two to three weeks to schedule a service call. Adding that she would contact me with the available dates within a week. I acknowledged that the $175.00 fee was okay. Since I did not hear from her by then, I called on April 6, 2026, and spoke with Pilar. She said she would call or text me when a service call is available. I am very concerned and worried that the squirrels could chew this awning. It happened with my old one. I decided a closed trough was the best solution. I am anxiously awaiting a service call. The awning's remote control is the same kind as the ones for our indoor windows shades. The button batteries in it are VERY common and easily found! It is very simple to change them. Hence the previous review was surprising and difficult to believe.. Our awning has been very reliable. The automatic retraction feature when there is a strong wind has worked well. There is nothing about our awning about which we are unhappy! We will get the awning serviced soon for the winter. We do think that the cost for this service is a bit high, but worthwhile to maintain the functionally of the awning.

After collecting a deposit, Ayhab came out to my house the next day just after noon. His workmanship was professional and efficient. After removing the mantletop, he found that some of the wood supporting one of the window frames needed to be replaced. He was prepared with the materials to complete the extra repair and the entire job in about six hours. Everything looks great now.
