I have been a patient of Husker Dental since 2021. I was in search of a new dentist that was close to my home and work. My first visit went fairly well. I explained my past history of bad dentists and botched rootcanals/crowns resulting in horrible pain until the two teeth were removed. On that first visit she found my teeth fractured around old fillings. So we made a plan. I felt great about the staff and just okay about Dr J, as they call her. I decided to proceed with a crown on the only tooth that was painful. On my second visit, again great staff interactions. The Dr came in, numbed my tooth and started grinding. After a short period I asked her to stop as it was painful. She acted like this was unusual and told me next time to take tums first. She numbed up more and it was tolerant. I got a temp crown. Tooth still hurts. I got the new crown the same day the temporary crown popped off. Weeks later I went back, the bite is wrong and the tooth still hurts. She ground it down. I went back again, same issue. This time I was told it's inflammation. It hurt for two more years. She talks up pride in her work, yet it wasn't right from the beginning. I didn't want another crown if I didn't feel tooth pain.
Now it's 2024. I make a return appointment after having near syncope while eating. This was after I had been cleared by my physician and was suggested to see a dentist since I have jaw pain as well. I told the staff all of this and reported a feeling of something stuck in my gum as well as teeth clench/grinding and jaw pain. During this time the staff was having all sorts of computer and equipment malfunctioning. Dr. J thought I should see a neurologist. Then she said maybe i ate too many carbs, what? By now my teeth were polished, before they were cleaned and no one can feel the thing poking out of my gum. The Dr continues to bounce from one patient to another. Finally she comes in and says yes, you have a lesion on your gum. I have no idea what it is. Then proceeds to talk about the same fractures and how she wants to put crowns on all 6! I indicated that one tooth could be removed as it has been a problem and sits by itself in the back where i have the jaw pain. She said, no. She would rather I do no treatment at all than have the tooth removed. This is the same place I have the lesion and the jaw pain. She then proceeds to clean my teeth. Let's just say this is the straw. She was so mean and rough, I really believe she did it on purpose. I woke up the next morning with blood all over my pillow and in my mouth. Never in my life have I had a dentist do that to me. I am shocked, saddened, and terribly disappointed in Dr J. She didn't address the teeth grinding, the jaw pain, the lesion, or even listened to what I needed, as a patient, from her. She wants the almighty dollar, thousands of dollars to work on my mouth. When met with the least bit of resistance, she became mean and harmed my mouth. This was her way of telling me to go find another dentist. Well done Husker Dental, I will do just that. read more
