Great staff working together was nice to see and Knob Hill is more than a tavern with separate dining area and an outside patio with patrons dining despite the rain but we went in to the bar area so I could watch the weather reports for my travels the next day on one of their TV's. Great cold fishbowl mugs available and my son even met an old classmate from high school and got caught up on their lives. He even got a peck (kiss) on the cheek from a lady at the next table who couldn't resist his "lure of the animal" and the red face gave us all a chuckle. The two together should be wonderful, right? Well, the caveat here is that the food is not traditional Mexican fare. It is, for the most part, an elevated Taco Bell. I had the grilled stuffed burrito, and it was a better tasting, better prepared version of its Taco Bell cousin. They also have burgers and other pub style fare. The drinks were cheap. At least the draft beer I was drinking was cheap. Our server was very attentive and super nice. I never had an empty glass in front of me for the three hours or so I was there. What was really cool about this spot was the karaoke. The crowd was very into it, and there were some fantastic singers participating. They seem to have an event every single day, and were even open on Christmas, apparently. I look forward to staying in Evansville again and going to Tiki on Main! (Got a few looks from customers, but staff was happy to see us!) You basically are still sitting in the bar, they just have a rope "separating" the bar area. This place is quite the gem and I was really impressed. Very generous portions, delicious food, and incredible service. I highly recommend the Grippo-crusted pork tenderloin, especially if you're not native to Grippo's country. Absolutely incredible. The mac and cheese is fantastic - tons of cheese and big spiral noodles, not the cheap Kraft kind you make from a box. Really looking forward to stopping in here again. Great addition to the town square!
