First, let me say I felt obligated to write this review. Sure, I can see why people have had great experiences here - it's a relatively clean hotel, with mediocre service, depending on who you interact with.
I stayed for a week, so I experienced a wide range of service from bad to good. However, the bad definitely trumped the good. If you're into details like me, you probably wouldn't have like the stains on your sheets or pillow covers - I didn't complain because I had 2 twin size beds put together and I just used the other. The stains were minor, but STILL stains. Oh, and my bathroom door doesn't close, but oh well.
As far as the free internet goes - yeah, it's free, but it's slow as hell. Plus, you have to go and ask for a new login/password that they print out for you every 24 hours. Let me say this experience really got to me when I called the reception one night, and asked for a login/password because my internet expired at 2am, but I have a very important business call the next morning - and I didn't want to go down stairs at 6am. I asked extremely nicely on the phone with the lobby reception, and the man rushes me off the phone and says "yes yes give me 2 minutes I'll have it up bye".
And of course, 30 minutes later, nothing. I call back and the man then asks "is your internet not working or something?" I tell him no, it is, but I just need the password for tomorrow morning. "Oh ok. Sure. Bye". Another 15 minutes pass and I decide I have to go down into the lobby at 1:30 in the morning for the ticket. I explain I have an important call tomorrow morning and the receptionist (an older heftier gentleman) says "Yeah yeah yeah" as he prints my ticket..
One last negative experience I had was during my checkout. I had some room service, and specifically asked that the charge be made on the ORIGINAL credit card I used to book the hotel. I emphasized that when I ordered on the phone, and to the person who brought me breakfast. Of course, during the checkout, the wrong card was charged. At that point, I just signed and wanted to leave.
I may have a better experience next time, but if I were to go back, I'd definitely choose any other place before this one. There are plenty to choose from and I'm sure the quality of service would be better. read more
