Our insurance company contacted hurricane hauling to get our plow truck out of a deep ditch. The insurance company kept saying they were only a short distance away, but did not take into account that the driver had other calls before us. It was a long wait, but we understood as we needed a heavy duty vehicle/wench to get our truck out. When we called for updates, the driver was very polite and tried to give us his best estimate for arrival. When he got to the site, he was polite and efficient, even between getting calls while he was hooking up our vehicle. I read past reviews and I'm sorry other people had such poor experiences. If we had been waiting in the vehicle, it may have been a different story but... Other than time frame for arrival, we had a good experience with Hurricane Hauling. They are currently looking for dependable drivers and plan to increase the number of trucks in their company to cover the demand so I'm sure service time will improve! read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My insurance roadside service called this company to tow my car. Just like the previous reviews here on Yelp, they never showed. Didn't answer phone calls and didn't answer my insurance companies calls. Based on previous reviews, apparently if they do answer they yell at you. Well I wish they would have answered my phone call so I could tell them to fuck off I got another reliable tow company to tow me. The other company showed up, on time. The key word there, Hurricane Towing is that they SHOWED UP! You all are a joke. I quick googled your tow company and what do you know?!! They were apparently contacted by State Farm to assist with towing my car, but never showed up, leading me along for 6 plus hours. No way to contact them. ILLEGALLY dropped off a strangers car in my business establishment. Leaves his customers vehicles where every they want. Spoke with on the phone, instantly starting swearing, even called me a cousin raper for some reason. Dont do business when this company. Spend the little extra money to get a quality service. If I could give a lower rating than one star, then I would. I waited over 14 hours for a tow. They kept sending updated estimates for when they would be here when they hadn't even left to come. They claimed the winch wasn't working. I don't know why they wouldn't have taken a job if their equipment wasn't operational. They wouldn't answer the phone the many times I called and once cancelling the tow the called and seems confused as to why I was frustrated. This is going to cost me hundreds in car rental fees because the garage that was going to be able to fix my car today won't be able to get to it until Monday now due to my car not arriving last night when they were originally supposed to t I we my car. Dispatched by Progressive to tow my truck January 5th at 11am. By 6pm they still had not shown up. the police felt the vehicle was unsafe in the road and called another service who came out right away. their "excuse" to the insurance company was the weather was delaying them. There was not a cloud in the sky. They are liars and apparently have a reputation for just not showing up. But I was lucky I got Earl And Taleaha every time I got towed but as of lately iv been towed two more time and did not get them as I always do I got a very rude man on the phone just so happens he was the owner of the company and the driver that showed up was very rude as well and damaged my car I ask the driver if Earl And Teleaha was still working there he said no . At the worst time of my life, I needed roadside assistance for jump start and out of gas. Having $0 I asked if it might be possible to bring the gas as a part of my insurance it was to be $12. When Mike heard my story, he gave me the gas for my car no charge. Earl and Taleaha showed. The connection of the battery terminals would not hold the charge. Earl tried for about 1/2hr. Walmart parking lot was where we were. Earl went to the store. Taleaha cont to check the connection and listened as I rambled on. Earl bought a new battery. After the engine started, I could not thank them enough. Their willingness to get me to safety from their own pockets was more than I expected and could not show nearly enough appreciation. Instead of leaving right away, Earl motioned for me to wait. Taleaha approached me and handed me $20 saying for gas or lunch! In this world today there's so much bad. My Dad called about a text he received this morning saying they were 25 minutes from delivering his truck from Lee Dodge in Auburn after a recall service was performed. Hours go by no truck. My Dad calls Hurricane Towing to find out what was up? My Dad has speaking issues due to cancer treatment he has been receiving for the past year. And his voice sounds horse as a result and he struggles to be heard over the phone. He couldn't yell if he wanted to and the man on the other end of the phone got very rude and told my Dad to stop yelling at him. My mom took the phone to try and diffuse the situation and was very calm and was trying to explain my Dad's speaking issues , the man said WE DONT WANT TO HAUL HiS TRUCK!! and hung up. My Dad did two tours in Vietnam and fought for this country. I will make sure I tell everyone I know what rotten customer service Hurricane is about. read more

As temps dipped below zero, my battery died yesterday and I needed a jump. My insurance company arranged to have Hurricae Hauling Services come and jump my car. Estimated time was between 60-90 minutes. Annoying but fair, considering I am sure there were many others that needed jumps as well, and they were 30 minutes away. I called just to make just sure the time frame, as I had to get to work. The owner on the other end of the phone told me no more than an hour. So I waited. And waited. 60 minutes went by. Then 90 minutes, so I called the company back. When I asked the new time frame for the truck to arrive with the jump, the owner said another hour. I said okay, I really need to get to work, someone is waiting on me, the owner started YELLING at me uncontrollably over the phone. I have literally never in my life, experienced anyone with that level of rudeness or that short of a fuse. I said sir, you aren't letting me get a word in edgewise, and you are yelling at me. He then HUNG UP. I have great phone manners, I worked on the phones for years, dealing with many different types of people. I can usually diffuse any situation. This man is ANGRY. Now the kind young man who finally showed up to jump my battery was personable and wonderful. He said the tow truck had broken down, and the owner was very mad about that. So half the service was the worst ever, and the other half was fine. But very late, and very verbally abusive! I now understand why the name of the company is "Hurricane!" The Hurricane is the owner! I witnessed such a class act by this company today. Fidium fiber was installing new wifi at my residence when the driver got stuck in the ditch. After 30 minutes of the driver fighting with it & a bad plan to have a fellow fidium fiber employee attach a chain to his truck & pull him out, Hurricane Hauling just so happened to be driving by & offered to help. Not only was he smooth as heck getting the truck out, but he also did it for NO PAY. The best type of people & definitely someone I'd trust giving my business too. read more
