I would like to start by thanking all my loyal clients for supporting Huron Automotive Services in the past and well into the future. I don't usually like to post on social media for the very reason that has recently occurred on Google and a few other social media ratings' sites. I have been in business for close to thirty years and I have never been maliciously attacked the way this person's post was written and in which she has confirmed to a be a personal vendetta against me because of another unrelated matter. Not to mention the work was done 10/21/2017 and the complaint on 10/24/2018 ten months later. The customer was a loyal customer of the past 10 years. I have worked on numerous cars for her and her family. This particular instance, I was asked to perform an oil change on a luxury diesel suv. I pride myself on service and would like to think my clients come back because I am fair, honest and the service provided is value for money provided. The complaint is that I did not get authorization for all the extras on the oil change and that I charged her "three times what the dealer would have charged". When her car was brought in, I noticed that her wiper blades needed replacement as well as the diesel additive was low and confirmed with her that it was okay for me to address it. I received her authorization via text to do so and her allegation to the contrary is simply untrue. When I was advised that I charged 3x times more than that of a dealer for the same oil change, I took it upon myself to check out the price of what the dealer would have charged for that same "high end vehicle". The report I received from the dealer was my oil change was less than ¾ of what they charge "not three times". The dealer indicated they would have charged $159.99 and I charged $118.29 for the oil change. At the end of the day when this person came to pick up the vehicle and pay the bill I could see she was upset at the cost of the oil change, wiper blades and diesel fuel additive. Because she was a loyal customer and I do not want to upset any of my clients, I immediately offered a discount. With this new discount, the oil change charge is now approximately half of what the dealer charges. What is extremely disappointing is that this client has decided to spread a false narrative about me and my business which I take very seriously. I have been going to Huron Automotive for 15 plus years.I also have family members and friends who have used the services of this establishment.The owner Archie has always been a person who uses sound judgement in giving his opinion in what is needed and has saved me and others hundreds of dollars. In the process keeping my car and the cars of those that I love functioning in a safe and sound manner.A mechanic that you can put your trust in is very hard to find! I have been taking my vehicles to Archie for years. Not only my car but all my family's cars as well. It took me awhile to find a good place to bring my cars. Archie and the rest of the staff are terrific. Fair and trustworthy. I don't know a lot about the mechanics of cars, but they explain everything and help me understand what is going on. I have been taken advantage in the past at other garages, but never at Huron Automotive. I will continue to bring my cars here and I tell everyone to as well. read more

I had a really good experience at Huron Auto. The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain what was going on with my car. The work was done on time, the pricing was fair, and my car has been running great since. It's hard to find an auto shop you can actually trust, but Huron Auto definitely earned mine. I've been using Huron Automotive for about 10 years now and I trust them completely. Archie and the mechanics are extremely honest and personable. They will explain what is needed and why (if indeed something is needed), but if I take my car in for an oil change, that is what I get.
