My son attended 30 plus hours of instruction at Lindamood-Bell Oak Park. I am not convinced that…read morethis is was effective tool for his needs. We spent over $16,000 for the personalized instruction. At that point, we were desperate to assist his academic needs. Some of the instructors were decent, but there was a high turnover rate for staff at this location. One year later, and his reading levels have not improved at all! I think for my son to gain any long term benefits, we would have had to sink $50,000+ of money into this program. That is a financial burden and risk that we are not willing to take! Definitely, not worth the time, program cost and gas money that I put into my car! Currently, we have my son working with a tutor after school for 5 days a week (close to home) and we have spent 1/4 the money. The results have been MUCH better and my son is happier because there is less drive time.

I wanted to update my review...I am leaving the 4 stars because I think the price is outrageous BUT…read moreit really helped our daughter and she LOVED it. Not many places can get a just turned 6 year old to sit and study in an office cubicle for 4 hours a day 5 days a week for 4 weeks during their summer vacation - and love it! I'm very pleased with her progress and it is definitely noticed by her teachers and tutors this school year! I am giving 4 stars bc I have yet to start the program with LMB but I saw the negative review posted here and had to share our experience because it was much different. I have had my daughter (she's 5.5) tested by 5 different professionals in a lot of different areas of expertise (occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, speech pathology, and auditory testing, and LMB in OP) to get to the bottom of why she is behind her kindergarten class in reading. Her school has a pretty intense Kindergarten program so I wanted to at least give her confidence in her ability to catch up to peers. Anyway, I felt the testing at LMB was top notch, and was very thorough with legs to each area. Their test came back with very similar results to other testers (not affiliated with LMB or even in the same state) but their approach to "fixing" my daughter seemed like a clear path over a 4 week period. I didn't feel like I was being sold to at all, I felt like they took the time to truly get to know my daughter (and even requested one more test the following day to gauge her against higher standards bc of her expectations at her school). I would not even be considering paying their fees if I didn't feel like Sierra (the director) and her crew hadn't spent the time with my daughter and actually had solid feedback. In addition, their findings mirrored what the other specialists found as well so it reaffirmed my gut instinct. It's not a cheap place but from talking with other professionals I know they yield proven results. I'm willing to try it this summer and will update my review once we go through it. I just didn't want people to be totally scared off by the unfortunate experience the other reviewer had. It's a frustrating and emotional journey when you're worried about how to help your child, and I would still consider LMB to help even if it's just their testing (which is WAY less expensive than the other testing we did! The actual program is what is pricy).

After every tutoring session George would make it his priority to ensure that me and my two girls made it to our car safely after their night time tutoring sessions. Our daughter was a regular at Ivy League from about fourth grade until she graduated from an elite…read morehigh school and went on to a top university (coincidentally or not, an "Ivy League" university). We brought her to Ivy League for tutoring in math initially, not because she was having problems but because we knew that she could excel in math as she already did in other areas. The tutoring at Ivy League helped her (and us) do extremely well in the most demanding math courses her school offered, as well as on every standardized test she took. Our daughter's tutors were always prepared and focused, with a genuine love of and expertise in mathematics and related areas. Some of the tutors are knowledgeable in multiple fields, and with their encouragement, our daughter discovered an interest in logic puzzles and became acquainted with math and logic games, puzzles, and concepts that were outside of the curriculum and expanded her general and specific knowledge. It has been quite a few years since her time at Ivy League; looking back, I recall the tutoring services provided as being top-notch. Parents and children are made to feel welcome, and tutors will work with specific matters (e.g. homework, test prep, standardized test practice) on request. Different children and parents have different tutoring needs. We would highly recommend Ivy League to a parent considering a tutor for their child. -- R & G C

The school is gorgeous, clean, and we so appreciate that they have a ZONO device that kills germs on hard to clean toys. In comparison to other daycares my daughters have attended, they come home sick significant less. More importantly, we love the teachers and admin at KLA: Ms. Tiffany has been my 4 year old's teacher from the very beginning. She is down to earth, fun, and really connects with the kids. When I asked my daughter who her best friend was the other day, one of the 3 people she listed included Ms. Tiffany. My 4 year old is very shy but over time has opened up a lot more at school and improved her social skills with the help of Ms. Tiffany. Ms. Lisa is my 2 year old's teacher. She has young children of her own and she treats my daughter as one of own. I can tell how much she cares for and looks after my little one. Ms. Melissa is the art teacher - she works with all the children at KLA. She is incredibly nice, creative, and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the kids. Ms. Heather is the principal. She is very responsive to parents and has been a pleasure to work the past 7 months. Martial arts and music class is part of the curriculum. I am also impressed by the Spanish exposure the kids get. My 2 yr old surprised me one day when she started counting her toys in Spanish without being prompted. My older daughter has attended 5 different daycares, and by far we have been the most impressed with KLA. I never worry about the quality of care my girls get while I'm at work. Thank you KLA of Naperville for all that you do!

Ms. Gaby (3 yr old class) is a great teacher - she is warm and deals well with all of the different personalities of the children. My daughter loves going to school there and since the stay at home order has gone into affect, the school has done a great job with conducting lessons via Zoom. This has really helped keep some normalcy for my child and they have gone above and beyond to prioritize the kids over all else. I highly recommend KLA to all my friends with children.

The teachers bring fun and lots of variety to his day! The food is also good on variety, and my son seems to enjoy all of it! They are VERY mindful of allergies, special diets or requests when it comes to food. They keep things color coded and organized so that each child gets what they are supposed to at meal times. I also have an infant there now and they make sure he's included even though he's not participating in the activities yet. I love how easy it is to stay in touch. They have an app where you can put in all your notes about the kids before they go, and then the app gets updated throughout the day so you know how much they eat, how they are pottying, napping, etc. and they can upload photos and videos which is so great! I feel connected to my kids during the day! Also, their administration team is super helpful. I've had plenty of phone calls and emails with them and they are super responsive and know their stuff. The admins will set you up with a zoom conference to meet your child's teacher if they are switching classes. My mind is at ease when my kids are at daycare, because they think of everything! Being in a pandemic, it was not an easy choice to decide if we send our kids to daycare. But everyone over 2 is masked, they require daily screening and frequent hand washing to keep everyone safe.
