This one is close to home so I checked it out on a Sunday afternoon and for $4, it wasn't a horrible waste of money. They have a regular pool with a slide and kiddie pool and a lot of lifeguards, like five or so for such a small space! I really hoped that they would have chairs to lay in but no dice, only a few picnic tables and some seats that area little low to the ground and go back a little. I stayed for about two hours and went on my way and by the time I slept there were about 12-13 people there. It's basically a no frills, which is what I was expecting, but think I will check out other pools in the hood the next time.

The pool has a zero entry point with some fun sensory play. The changing rooms are pretty basic (showers, bathrooms, changing area), but were clean. You can reserve shaded picnic areas as well as shaded lounge area otherwise there is little to no shade at this pool. This place also has a snack bar. Overall, it is a great spot for families with little kids.

One, no "family" changing room, yet a strict rule against opposite-sex children in the bathrooms. My son is 5 now, so I can take him with me into the women's restroom to change, but once he turns 6, he'll be on his own. Boo. There are a zillion deck chaises provided, but only a few are adjustable. The vast majority only lay completely flat. Also? COLD!!! When we were there recently it was 90+ degrees outside but the water was freezing cold and my son's teeth were chattering within minutes. Even after several attempts to help him "get used to it", he was asking to go home after only an hour there. UNUSUAL for him - he normally wants to stay at the Ridge pool for hours. So.

Heaps of lifeguards all the time. There a few shaded grass area's as well as lots of seats around the pools so you can pretty much always get a shady or sunny spot. Every hour for about 10 minutes they call Adult swim, which is good and bad depending. When you have a 5 month old baby in the baby pool, and suddenly 20 kids get in, that have no boundaries and regard for you and the baby, then it's not the best. But the large pool is sectioned off so pick up your little baby and go get in the big pool, just not in the section where people might be swimming laps. Working out the parent life like a champion!

While I was there I saw a lifeguard rescue a small kid (maybe 7) from the shallow end of the pool and no less than 30 minutes later the same kid was jumping off the diving board and going down the deep end slide. He was barely keeping his head above water but struggled to get to the side of the pool. The lifeguards should be more attentive to that child and probably shouldn't have let him go into the deep end. But - it's not my pool to run. Just a personal opinion.

THEN he started up in the pool with his disgusting mouth. There was only HIM, the son in law, and ME AND my KIDS. I said "Sir, I have children here, would you not speak like that?" Apparently that made the old curmudgeon ANGRY that a WOMAN would ask him to stop foul behavior. His son in law had to tell him to stop saying things back to me and leave it.
