We went for Sunday breakfast. It was a little busy but there wasn't a wait. It's small inside but comfortable. We ordered the hunter house breakfast which was delicious. Nice thick bacon and the pancakes we so good! They have just a touch of vanilla flavor which I love! We will be back. Prices were great too. Service excellent.

So. Darn. Good!!!!

Just a quaint hole in the wall breakfast joint playing old country music with some of the best darn breakfast you can have. The decor will remind those of us that grew up in small-town Texas of the diners we would have Saturday breakfasts where either our grandparents or parents would chat the morning away with folks coming in and out they knew. Pancakes were perfectly done with an excellent batter that had the slightest hint of sweetness. Grits were yummy and hot - perfect consistency. Biscuits were hot perfection on a plate; fluffy as cotton candy and melt in your mouth soft. Bacon was perfectly done; not too crispy and not flimsy. Hash browns were done just right with that mix of crispy and soft potato-y goodness. The waitress was hustlin and handlin the whole place like a pro! We really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely return when back in the area.

These were possibly the best pancakes I've ever had. Light, fluffy and sweet, almost like a donut flavor. Great menu options with delicious breakfast choices. Small restaurant with friendly staff. So glad we stopped! Thanks Yelp!

Chuck wagon special

This is a small little restaurant by the Hunter House motel. The food was good portions were plentiful. We went for brunch and I had the big breakfast and it was big. My husband had the beef enchiladas special he said it was good. I took updated photos of the menus because the ones here were 6yrs old.

My veggie omelet minus the bell peppers. The filling was generous and perfectly cooked! Super delicious!

My husband gets a breakfast taco at least once a week and we share it. Really good comfort food. Not fancy but very tasty.

Honest well prepared breakfast at a fair price. Plan on waiting for a table on weekends. It's torturous but well worth it.

My son and I love to try a new restaurant every time we go into Kerrville. Today we tried…read moreFrancisco's in the historic downtown. Loved the old building and numerous paintings on the wall! We were attended to promptly and after reviewing the menu we placed our order. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and son ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. We watched some regulars come in and hug their favorite wait staffers (which seemed to be everyone on duty!) and check on other patrons to say hi before settling back at their table. The vibe was people on business lunches, retirees meeting up with friends, and a few tourists. I really loved the "homeyness" of watching everyone being familiar with the patrons and the overall friendly vibe. Our order arrived and I loved that the lettuce was cut into small bite size pieces rather than larger leaves which always look like someone grazing when eating off the fork. The bite size pieces were a nice surprise and also loved the grapefruit slice! I love grapefruit so this was so nice to see!! First bite was great! I tasted a hint of mustard in the dressing - not for sure if there was but it was a tangy change of the usual Caesar dressing. I liked it! I had as much as I could and my growing son finished it off for me after he finished his sandwich. I asked him about his sandwich and he said it was the best ham and cheese he's ever had! Hey...I said...what about mine!!?? Oh well. He loved the bread and the Swiss cheese. Different flavors for him and he approved. We didn't do dessert since we had shopping to do. We paid the bill and readied to leave. I noted to the lady group sitting next to us about one of the ladies purse. It was super cute and not the standard luxury fare. They were so friendly to my remark I swore if I commented more they would have told me to join them! Super friendly people, restaurant, and great food!! We'll have to try it again sometime after we try all the other restaurants in town!! You won't be disappointed if you try this place!!
