After the first heavy rains in April 2022, I noticed a steady stream of water leaking from a seam in our seamless gutter. I called and was told someone would be out Saturday. No one showed up. As the start date approached, communication became very poor. I repeatedly asked for the promised supply list, updates, and confirmation of when the project would begin, but I received little to no response. When it became clear the project was not moving forward, I requested a refund of my deposit. After asking for confirmation of when I would receive the refund, my calls and messages were not returned, and I never received a reply or a phone call confirming the date. About two weeks later, I finally received a text message stating that the check had been mailed. I did eventually receive my full deposit back, which I appreciate. However, the lack of communication, missed expectations, and having to repeatedly follow up made the entire experience frustrating and stressful. If you're considering this company, I recommend getting all timelines and commitments in writing and making sure you are comfortable with their level of communication before paying a large deposit.

Instead of sending David, Lester subcontracted out the job to a crew that told me they had never actually met Lester in person. Lester had initially stated that he would include painting if I provided the paint. When I asked Lester about the painting after the repair had been made he incorrectly stated that the reason that they had not painted was that I never provided paint to the crew. This was not true. He also told me that I needed to "Read the messages!!" referring to our previous text exchange and work agreement. Once I sent a screenshot of our previous conversation to refresh Lester's memory and told him that I had provided the paint to the crew and discussed it with them, he said he would call me later to reschedule the paint job. I never heard from him again. Fortunately, I was able to contact the crew that was subcontracted to finish the job with them directly. I wouldn't recommend using Lester. I had 2 different companies come out and look at the repair and they both said that it was a poor job and recommended removing the texture and redoing it. However, the technician arrived at approximately 1:33 PM, before I was home, and left by 1:37 PM -- well before the scheduled appointment time. I called the number that had contacted me when I saw the missed activity but received no answer. When I texted the company, I was told the technician likely arrived early because he finished a previous appointment ahead of schedule. Shortly after, the technician called and stated he had gone down the street to use the restroom. I informed him that I was home and asked him to ring the doorbell upon arrival. By 1:50 PM, no one had rung the doorbell. I checked my Ring camera footage and saw him standing at my gate at 1:49 PM without coming to the door or attempting to ring the bell. When I went outside at 1:50 PM, he had already driven away again. I called him immediately, and instead of resolving the situation professionally, he was extremely rude and insisted he had been waiting and that I never answered the door -- despite the fact that it was still before the scheduled 2:00 PM appointment time. After arguing with me, he asked if I wanted him to return. Given his behavior and unprofessional attitude, I declined. This experience showed a clear lack of professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

They also repaired my two custom fireplaces that had cracks on them and were also faux painted. This is art not just painting. They prepped the areas daily. They were clean. Professional. These guys are really courteous and make pretty swift work of it. This was the second job we hired…read morethem for. They sheetrocked over existing ceiling tiles and did a great job patching up my ceiling where previous butchers had their inelegant hand at installing my island hood. The texturing is fabulous and the ceiling looks great compared to its previous state! (Although, the wall repair was hurriedly sanded, if at all. I'll need to bust out the palm sander to finish it myself.) My main complaint is that they weren't particularly meticulous with lines or overly concerned about cleanup. I will have to touch up the paint on every wall because even though they taped they somehow smeared plaster (or whatever the white stuff is) at almost every ceiling/wall seam. Whatever it is, it won't just wipe off. (I scrubbed at it with a Clorox wipe for a minute before giving up. Maybe I just need a different tool...). Regardless, how does that even happen with professional taping?? It might not have been as irksome had all my walls been the same color, but they're not. So it's gonna be a pain getting paint matches and such. There were also an abundance of little plaster splatters about the walls. Some of it had been wiped up, but not well because there's lots of hazy swaths of residual medium all over the place. I'm still cleaning those remnants up. Fortunately, the wood floors were spared. They did an excellent job of laying down plastic. I don't remember the same issues the first go-round... maybe the crew were different? We have lots more ceiling sheetrock to do, and we'll probably use them again, but I'll have to refrain from investing time in painting walls beforehand.
