This was probably my favorite store to shop in while at Woodbury. The store was clean, organized and sales associates were available to reach the box of boots on the top shelf that I couldn't get to haha. Great selection of rain boots at a great price. I got boots, socks and rubber restore and then 20% off all of it. This would be my go to if I'm ever in the need for new rain boots. read more

I would give 0 or negative star if I can. I walked in the store and wanted to buy a boot, but none of the sale rep had intention to help customers at all. They either talked to each other, or only tried to stock the shelf. Until I walked to the one of the shelf that a lady stocked the boot, I asked if I can see the size of the boot I wanted to tried. The lady said that she was organized the shelf, so I tried to take the box of boot out by myself. Then, she said "which one do you want?" I showed her the one, and she grabbed for me, but gave me the look that I should decide now. Only thing she wanted to do was to organize the shelf. May be her job description was not to help customer at all. Later, I told her that I wanted two boots, and wanted to pay. She took both of the boot to the register. Without saying anything, I asked her that could she please show me the socks that goes well with the blue boot. She ignored and asked me if I finished shopping??? I said that I asked if she can show me the socks?? Then, she said OH I FORGOT!! But still just pointed to some colors next to her. She was so lazy. Then, I tried to find the colors I like by myself, and found it, but it was kid sized. So, I asked her question about women sized, she turned me down by saying that " IF YOU DO NOT TRUST ME, DO NOT ASK ME QUESTION!!!!" So, i just told her that I want to pay for the two boots, and leave. 5 mins after I left the store, I found out that she gave me my boot in a ruined box. It was damaged somehow on one side of the box. The hole was on 75% of the box. She definitely saw it but She did not want to show me. So I walked back to the store and asked either refunded or changed the box for me. She ignored me, and asked someone else to do it. Bad customer service ever. All the colors are nice in store. Female employee was really nice and assisted on checking my sizes for certain colors. But unfortunately they had not one of my sizes in every color I had asked. but store is clean. read more

Do Not Shop Online with HunterBoots.com. I ordered a pair of rain boots and rain boot socks and returned them unworn as they did not fit. Hunter claims the boots were worn and refused to refund me and neither did they return the boots back to me. As of now, there has been no help from customer service after repeatedly reaching out them. I would not recommend anyone to buy from Hunterboots.com read more

Be careful before making a purchase at the Hunter Outlet in Woodbury, NY (Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall)! The return policy is awful. My husband bought me a pair of boots for my birthday and they don't fit. In fact, there are NO BOOTS (seriously no boots) in the store in my size but they wouldn't give us our money back. AND they couldn't give us a store credit either. We were told we had to purchase something else RIGHT THEN or lose $125.00. How can they do this to people? There is not one other store in Woodbury Commons that does this (that I know of). So not only did I not get boots for my birthday, I now have a very expensive umbrella that I didn't need and an expensive jacket for my little one who already had three jackets. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU SHOP HERE****!!!***!!! I came to this site to write a bad review and then saw a few other reviewers have beat me to the punch. This store has the worst customer service i have literally EVER experienced. My aunt bought me a pair of black short, adjustable, Hunter boots for my birthday (which is on christmas) this year. I was ECSTATIC because i have been eyeing these pricy boots and really wanted them. She isn't familiar with the brand, just knew i liked them. She went into this store, purchased what she thought was a size 8 and mailed them to me wrapped for my birthday. When i got them i immediately put them on and realized she made a silly mistake. She got me a UK 8 and not a US 8, so they were really a US size 10. Considering i live in South Carolina, i was in a little bit of a frenzy. I actually am not 100% sure my aunt made the mistake with the size, she said the store worker brought the boots she picked to the back to "shine" them and may of accidentally swapped them with a different pair. Thats besides the point. I called my aunt, and told her i would try and call the store and Hunter themselves to get this figured out. when i called the store to tell them what happened (that i lived in SC and it was a silly mixup), the rude store worker said "we don't do anything online or over the phone so i SUGGEST you mail the boots back to your aunt and she can deal with it". I then called Hunter themselves and they said well "this is an outlet so we can't help you". I was in a bad spot. I mailed the boots back to my aunt because i was so afraid the store wouldn't return them for her, and i really needed a refund because i wasn't sure what my real size was and didn't want to keep mailing boots back and forth. That was around $15 for the postage, but the outlet can careless. My aunt then got the boots in the mail and went into the store to return them so she could send me the money to order boots off of the Hunter website. The store then says, "sorry we only do exchanges" LOL you have to laugh at this awful scenario. Apparently there is a TINY sign that states they only exchange, you can't even get store credit to use later. My aunt explained she came shopping at christmas time and the store was so busy theres no way in heck shed of seen the sign AND no one told her at checkout. That would have prevented her from buying her in the first place. She exchanged for an 8 because she had too, and were praying to GOD They fit, because if not I'm stuck with boots that don't fit that i have to try and sell. People, the real hunter site is much better, and only $20-$30 more than these boots. They also run sales and Nordstrom Rack sells Hunters on sale too. Save yourself the massive headache and shop sales so that if the boots don't fit or you decide on another color you have options. They are WAY to expensive to be stuck with something you don't like or something that doesn't fit. My aunt and i are beyond upset, so Hunter will be getting a call. I experienced a high level of customer service yesterday at this store. Within a couple of minutes of browsing for rain boots for my wife and checking for the right size on the boxes on the selling floor a store associate asked if I needed assistance. He quickly let me know that the style/size I was looking for was available in a variety of colors and after deciding on one color he promptly brought the boots out from the back and let me know there was a 30% discount. Cant even put no star or negative star. Worst customer service ever. I was planning to buy a rain boot no matter is on sale or not. I walk in, no one cares about me which is fine. There are 3 staff working, one guy is at the counter helping a woman purchasing something, one guy were refilling stocks, and the one woman that around the store is helping ONE woman fitting a boot. The 10 mins that i have to look around n finding a boot that i like, the woman name danielle is joking n laughing w the other one woman that she is only helping with. I have to grab the boot n walk to the guy that was working at the corner n filling up the stock n ask him (this is my first hunter boot i wear size 5.5, what should i wear??) The guy tells me to try a 5 because they dun have 1/2 size available. So i have to grab my own box n try n then is too big for a size 5, i have no choice but walk to the woman n ask if there are smaller size. I read from the box that uk size is 4 so i ask if there r smaller one, she roll her eye at me because she was having fun w the other woman she is helping with. N ask me where i find a size 4, i told her i read from the box. She ask me is it woman or kid. How the fuck should i know the box is for woman or kid. U suppose to help me out n me answering ur q's. She then told me that smallest is 5. N then no willing to help me search for a boot, she went back n talk n joke n chatting w the other woman that we spend the 10 mins with. There are only two customers in the store, the woman n me. N she is not even willing to help mr n just serve that woman. She is getting a boot, so am i?? I was so mad, i walk up to the counter n told the man to give me a comment card. At first, the guy is surprise, i told him (this is how u serve customer, one person is only allow to serve one customer, n i ask her smtg, this is what kind of response u give me) he told me he dun have the comment card, maybe is in the back, i told him ill wait. Give me a comment card, hr walk to the back n i waited another 3 mins for the card n i have to ask the guy what is that woman namr, ill have to report to the head quarter or to the company to that horrible experiences that i have in this shop. Then the woman walk up to thr counter n look at me. Now ur free, so pathetic. I never have such horrible customer service ever in my whole life. DANIELLE she is the worst employee that i ever ever met. If u have this kind of employee working in your company im not sure that shop will have horrible profit. Thank god she works in woodbury that no customer skill needed or else im sure she will be fire working in any other fashion district in manhattan or whatsoever. I had ever given such a horrible review before. I am still very piss off of how she talk to me today. And i already file a complaint into hunter website! She is the worst person i ever known. Like the other reviewer, I would give the store no stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and don't ever buy boots from Hunter!!! their return policy is offensive and reprehensible. i bought a pair of hunter boots and didn't realize that their return policy of exchange only meant literally exchange without credit...meaning that if they don't have your size you might as well throw the boots away because they don't even issue a credit. the same boots are sold on the website for the same price....and permit returns! I am going to have agree with the user who already reviewed and wish that I can give a business a 0 star review. I have never shopped at a business where my wife and I felt so manipulated just so a purchase can be made. It all started the day after Christmas. My wife and I decided to take a trip to the Woodbury Commons to use up gift cards as well as exchange some gifts, as do most families. My wife has been on the fence about purchasing a pair of Hunter boots for quite some time and we decided to take a look in the outlet. Of note here, my wife had broken her leg a couple weeks prior and was in a walking boot. The 2 gentleman who were working when we came in were with customers however one of them (darker brown hair) acknowledged us, gave us a friendly welcome and let us know if we needed assistance someone would be right over. After a couple minutes of browsing, this over-eccentric women (shorter, blonde hair) comes out from the back and this is where our trouble begins. After about 5 minutes of talking with her, she lets us know that she is the GM of the building (I believe her name is Julia or something..). My wife was having a very difficult time with the boots with her broken leg, sizing and just the way it fit. After about another 10 minutes of the runaround (over exaggerated comments) she assures us that this how the boots are supposed to fit, something told me she wasn't 100% sure with this statement. My wife and I asked her about the return policy. She told us that it was exchange only but in our case, considering the circumstances with wife's leg and all she would make an exception and that she'd note it on our receipt. We went to the register to pay and I asked if the company offers a military discount. The cashier told us unfortunately they did not. This really makes 0 sense to me as the company was founded for military use and just about every single other business in that mall offers one. Come on and stick to your roots. After the receipt prints, the GM comes over and makes a note on our receipt (hindsight should have told me to read what she noted). My wife gets the walking boot off a couple weeks later and the boots are still extremely uncomfortable and just don't fit her right so we decide to take another trip to the mall. We go in to make our return, thought it would be a quick in and out process... boy was I wrong. We decided to go in the morning as we knew this would be the quietest and easiest time to do everything we wanted. We were met by Sean (probably the most positive thing I can write in this review was how helpful and understanding this kid was). I tell him that we're here for a return. He responds back with the fact that they only do exchanges so I get out my receipt to show him the GM had made a note that it was ok for a return. He opens up the receipt and to my horror, the GM marked "Ok for an EXCHANGE....JR". There is a clear difference between an exchange and a return. I just can not believe how manipulative and deceiving a person can be over a $120 pair of boots! Clearly from Sean's reaction I could tell this wasn't the first time he had dealt with this. He tells me to give him a minute so he could try and get her on the phone to clear everything up. Maybe 5 minutes goes by and Sean returns from the back. He explains to us the conversation he had just had with her. I am going on record and saying that I really appreciated his honesty here. He tells us that she has no recollection of doing such a thing, that if we wanted to do an exchange that's ok and if we wanted to make return that we'd be ask to NEVER shop in the store again. I am going to repeat the words that came out of her mouth " If we wanted to make a return, that we'd be asked to NEVER shop in the store again". You could tell how much Sean disagreed even uttering those words. He said that he would gladly take the boots back but he wasn't going to even say those words to us. My the time I got my refund it was a half hour later, clearly longer then the 5 minutes we were planning on spending in the store. This experience really taught me how there are some people who just don't care in businesses and that all they're looking for is a sale and forget that your customer is going to keep the door open. Word of advice: If you do plan on taking a trip to this store, stay away from the GM, Julia or whatever her name is. She is going to just manipulate you to make a purchase. Stick to Nordstrom, at least you can make returns there with no hassle and they honor their Veterans. read more
