I've tried Optum rx and its the worst. Here I felt like they actually where listening to me. The pharmacist helped me transfer all my prescriptions to this pharmacy and best thing is they deliver. I was going to Rite aid and CVS jumping from pharmacy to pharmacy but the thing is they were all the same, huge lines, some people seemed not to care, out of stock on prescriptions u name it. So glad I found Arsh pharmacy right here in Franklin Square. I also got my flu shot here to quick and painless. Highly recommend. They went above and beyond!

My last update was in 2019. It is now June 2025 and Wayne's Pharmacy is still my Angel. The only…read morechange is that the ownership has changed. It is now owned by Pharmacists that worked for Wayne. I was originally concerned that things might change. I am happy to say that they are my new Angels. I am still treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The new owners retain the same caring that Wayne always did. My concern was unnecessary. If you ever need special treatment by a pharmacy and, like me, your insurance doesn't help, I highly recommend Wayne's Pharmacy. You won't be sorry. (Please read my previous review to get the complete picture. My condition has gotten worse over the past 6 years and it is difficult for me to write)

It would seem the primary business is the surgical supply, prosthetics along with wheelchairs,…read morewalkers etc. It takes up half the store. For the rest it's an old school pharmacy, and selling basic staples like cold medicine, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, skin care, ace bandages...you get the idea. All name brands but prices are discounted pretty well. Then there's the sundries...fragrances, fancy soaps, unique brands of lotions, makeup, plus a really nice selection of greeting cards and paperbacks. I stop in here a lot to browse especially at gift giving times. Staff always has a friendly greeting and it's always the same people. When I need sundries I'll choose this Mom and Pop over CVS or Walgreens.

My husband has been going to this pharmacy for a decade and has always been happy UNTIL TODAY. He…read morehad a very difficult surgery yesterday and was given too little pain medication at too small a dose. We called the doctor this morning to get some relief for pain management and they agreed to send a second prescription so he could get through the worst of it. When I walked in to the pharmacy to pick his prescription up this afternoon, the pharmacist (a man with close cropped hair) was complaining to the staff, and for all to customers to hear, about a woman patient he had been on the phone with. He basically described her as stupid and annoying for asking questions about her prescription. "I can't deal with her anymore," he said. He then turned to me and said that he would not fill my husband's prescription because it was "too soon." I explained the situation, and how we had talked to the doctor this morning and they had agreed and sent the second prescription, based on my husband's pain levels. He cut me off and said again that he would not fill the scrip. I asked him to please call the doctor and he refused that too, saying that he had already spoken with some receptionist in the doctor's office and that he didn't need to call and speak with the doctor--that it was "your fault for not following the doctor's orders and taking too many pain pills." It's important to note that I even though I was upset and concerned about my husband, I did not treat the pharmacist or his staff with disrespect, even as they were nasty, mean, condescending and accusatory to me. Cutting to the chase, the pharmacist and the female cashier there were so nasty that I had to leave and drag my husband, whose stomach was cut open in three places yesterday and in tremendous pain, out of his sick bed to come in. They refused him as well, and basically tried to make him feel like he had done something wrong and was trying to illegitimately "score" drugs (even though the DOCTOR wrote a second prescription and sent it to the pharmacy!). To top it all off, they then told him that they had decided to not fill the prescription at all because the pharmacist didn't like my personality.
