Her tone is sharp, her communication feels hostile, and there is no attempt to be helpful or understanding. Pharmacies are places where people are often dealing with health concerns, stress, or vulnerability. Being met with nastiness and insensitivity in that setting is not just unpleasant , it's alarming. Professionalism and compassion should be non-negotiable when you're working with medication and patient care, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here. I truly hope management addresses this, because no one should feel spoken down to or disrespected when accessing their medicine.

Not least of all, they always get everything right, including my request for a regular (not safety) cap. It is a dramatic improvement over the chain pharmacy that I switched from. I am at high risk for a serious allergic reaction from the COVID vaccine, but decided to get it anyway. The pharmacist who administered the shot could not have been more solicitous and reassuring. She monitored me for ten minutes longer than the usual time. The convenience of being able to shop for prescription and OTC drugs in the same place has been very important to us during the pandemic - my husband and I are of a certain age.

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy. Already, reluctantly, in the process of moving my scrips to Walgreens.

Ilona is a sweetheart and is always so accommodating; there has been more than one occasion when I needed a medication that day and she didn't have it, but after calling around she was able to track it down for me and get it by that afternoon. You will NOT get dedication like that at a major pharmacy. She really cares and I trust her opinion implicitly. We are so lucky to have a boutique pharmacy like this in our midst. They even DELIVER! I was able to get a parking spot in front on the store on Plandome Road, but there is also a lot in the rear. I needed an OTC medicine and they had it and the price was good. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Grateful for this new pharmacy in town.
