Bottom line: This location of Hunky Dory in Cary offers the same good vinyl record opportunity as well as draft beer bar but a bit cozier type of space/feel than their other locations. I like the great variety of music they have as well as the atmosphere of old turntables and memorabilia it offers. The Deets: I have visited the new Cary location of Hunky Dory a couple of times now. This location is a bit smaller than the ones in Durham and Raleigh, but still offers a good selection of vinyl records as well as a beer bar with draft beer choices. The eclectic collection of furniture, turntables, games, and memorabilia makes for a cool atmosphere. The atmosphere is further carried by the "Now Spinning" selections they play, as in my most recent visit when Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band (Stranger In Town album) was playing overhead. There are many types of vinyl records available to peruse from Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra working with Frank Sinatra on vocals, Jefferson Airplane, Madonna, Prince, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, H.E.R., and others. There's a lot of vinyl to look over. Staff were welcoming when entering the store but also hung back to let one have a chance to look over all they had on display. This Hunky Dory location offers a good place to take in some vinyl and enjoy some classic music in a cool but smaller space.

    Great record selection!

Dude working had a stank attitude . Barely acknowledged that I was in the store. I was the only person there .

Pharmacy Bottle + Beverage nails the balance between neighborhood hangout and serious beer…read moredestination without ever feeling pretentious. The tap selection is honestly impressive -- taps galore with an ever-changing lineup that makes every visit feel a little different. I also love that you can enjoy a pint onsite and then wander over to the bottle shop side to grab some gems to take home. Dangerous for my wallet, fantastic for my fridge. The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxed, and full of happy people and happy dogs. Cary can always use more genuinely dog-friendly spots, and this place embraces it completely. Pups lounging under tables while their humans work through flights? Come for one beer, leave with a mixed 6-pack and at least three new dog friends.

Inside, it was pretty spacious, with a couple of couches, a few tables, and of course the bar seating. I saw multiple customers walking around with their dogs, so I'd say Pharmacy is dog-friendly. The bartender was attentive throughout, and I thought the draft beers were very reasonably priced. The selection on draft was only OK, but that's more based on personal preference, I guess :) Pharmacy also had a bunch of cans available for sale, some refrigerated and some not (presumably based on the type of beer). There was an additional fee if you chose to buy a can and drink it in the bar. Maybe this is normal, but it struck me as a little strange. They also had some food items available but I skipped those this time. Overall, I had a pretty good time. I'd definitely consider stopping by again but I'm not sure it'll be a consistent hang-out.

Pillows and cozy blankets on couches (and yes, I absolutely used one of the cozy, plush blankets), all sorts of amazing books for sale, and absolutely delicious drinks with excellent names. The woman I spoke to there was absolutely wonderful, really welcoming, and had great energy. She made a fantastic book recommendation, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. And, my sweet little pet rats really enjoyed the paper bag it came in. Also, as a disabled person. I really appreciated how accessible the space was. I've struggled in a lot of intriguing bookstores because the aisles were too narrow for me to get down. I really appreciate that they made everything doable, and there is an elevator right outside as well, in case you need to go downstairs to get to the additional parking area.

As far as I can tell, The Williams House is the bookshop side of things, while Arcane is the bar side of things, but they are both under one roof. My mom got a latte and I got one of their draft beers, both were good! It was pretty crowded due to the event, but we managed to grab a spot near her friend's table and enjoy our drinks. I saw a few boardgames before we left. Arcane seems like it would be a great place to hangout with friends or just read a book!

For starters, our waiter(if I'm not mistaken was also the bartender) was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations since it was our first visit. I ordered the rose water lemonade and my son ordered the strawberry lychee. Both were delicious so much so I asked could the two be combined without the carbonation that the lychee drink had. It was a hit!!!! For appetizers we ordered the Duck Egg rolls and asked the waiter to surprise us with the second appetizer. He chose the Pork Bao. The egg rolls were our favorite out of the two but both were great. For our entrees, my son ordered the General Tso Chicken. I couldn't decide between two dishes so I asked the waiter once again to surprise me. I ended up the whole fish(black bass) entree which was a phenomenal choice. The flavors were like a party in your mouth. It was seasoned to perfection and the sauce: OMG!!!!! Both entrees came with a bowl of fluffy rice. For dessert we got the mooncakes. They were ok. The ambience was nice and welcoming. I don't drink but was informed that it was a place people go to take part in their amazing drink selections. That it is also a great place to read a book which they have plenty to choose from if you forgot your own and a good meet up or date spot. If you are looking for new place to try this place will be a great choice!!!! Let me know what you think!!!

It's definitely popular, so I recommend making reservations when you can. I've gone once with a girlfriend before a movie and once with my husband when we were looking for an early dinner. We actually didn't have a reservation that second time, but the staff was incredibly kind and worked with us to accommodate the window we had. This place is truly an experience. It's a little on the pricier side, but I have never once felt unwelcome. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and happy to help guide you through the menu. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, but the duck egg rolls, dumplings, and sesame noodles especially live rent-free in my head. I usually stick with a glass of wine from their extensive list, but I recently tried the green tequila cocktail and it was amazing. My husband always finds a fresh, delicious mocktail option, which we appreciate. Accessibility is something I consider when choosing places to go, and Brewery Bhavana is accessible for wheelchair users, including the restrooms. Being able to enjoy the full dining experience comfortably makes a big difference. I wouldn't necessarily go here expecting traditional Chinese cuisine, but I would absolutely recommend it for a unique, thoughtful, and delicious dining experience. It has become a special treat for us when we're in Fenton, and I'm always excited to go back.

That made us laugh and we were thirsty so we decided to take a break from shopping. We parked at VF parking lot and discovered that their doors were locked even though the hours on the door said they should have been open. We noticed South Line Brewing right beside it and saw people so we walked across the parking lot. We were immediately greeted by some friendly patrons (looked like they were having an event) and went inside. The bartender asked us what we would like to sample and we quickly found a beer to our liking. We inquired about the brewery next door and she informed us that they were closed for good. (Not this brewery's fault, but how rude that there was no posting on VF regarding this!) We really enjoyed our time here. We had a couple of beers, got a burger from the food truck, and just relaxed and people watched. I got the Notorious Bean Coffee Cream Ale and it was delicious. I had two and they went down very easily LOL. The vibe was excellent. LOTS of different seating...kinda felt like hanging out in your best friends garage (only in the best way possible!) Even sitting inside felt like sitting outside and enjoying a nice summer afternoon. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely stop by again!

They had a bunch of arcade machines, like a punching bag, a golf simulator, and a few other options. I also noticed they had some liquor behind the bar if people preferred mixed drinks versus beer :) Not useful for me, but I appreciate that they're prepared! I ordered a beer and it was solid. My wife and I chilled on the couch for a bit and it was pretty comfy. The bartender was nice as well. Overall, we had a pretty good time at South Line and would definitely consider coming back!
