I'm not sure why we as a customer even believe we can order a pizza or bread the way we like? Hungry Howies why have your prices gone up but your quality dropped? I wish I hadn't been on a time crunch, I'd had them remake it or just give me my money back. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves. Maybe they should remember they're not being paid to socialize. Hungry Howies you are no longer my go to for good pizza. Surprisingly, Domino's has picked up their game and beats you hands down. I don't usually leave reviews, but I hope for change. My Family is from Florida and we moved up to Douglas about 5 years ago. We've been eating here for years now. We joke about how rude everyone is there. Not once has anyone said thank you or anything remotely nice to us, or their own workers. Last night we went inside to pick up instead of the drive through, what we saw and heard was beyond us ever coming back. A coworker said where everyone could hear "I would hit you right now" to another coworker. That just stunned me. Along with a 30 min wait for one large cheese pizza. We heard what I think was several managers saying someone messed up... I left a similar review on google. Honestly scrap all the managers and start over. The food is okay, the service horrific. If it wasn't for the nostalgic feeling we all get from the pizza, we'd never order here again. read more

Staying at a hotel in Douglas George and they delivered. Pizza was good and wings were good.

Food is delicious but don't call it in. Staff answering the phone is rude and will place you on hold while you hear their personal conversations...after a while they come and hang up on you. The drive through staff is very courteous though, and the food is MUCH better and better priced than Dominos. read more

The only thing that is saving this restaurant from getting 1 star is that the food is actually good. The pizza had a great flavor, but I ordered it to arrive 30 minutes ago. I called the restaurant and was just told that it was on the way. Btw I can still hear when you put your hand over the mic. I know that my pizza was put in the oven late. Okay, well I was not going to let my late pizza keep me down. I open the pizza box to find the pizza flipped over. We love the HH pizza but the service on our recent order was, well, not so hot. 1 I messed up on the order (used the iPhone app for the first time) - I ordered a thin crust by mistake 2 I ordered half of the pizza to be with anchovies It was basically a veggie pizza that we ordered. We could see the progress of the pizza on the App - which is very neat. When it arrived (we were not in a rush but it seemed to arrive pretty quick - 20 mins) after the delivery guy left we opened it and the cheese & toppings seemed to have somehow slid or shifted over to one side of the pizza. It was as if he had to slam on the brakes during his delivery or maybe the pizza box had fell? I should have taken a picture of it right away but I didn't. So my GF moved the toppings around - and she made the pizza look "normal". But she complained that there were anchovies "all over the pizza" instead of on just 1/2 of it. I like anchovies - she doesn't... She refused to eat any slices. So I called them back - the girl passed the phone to a guy who was adamant that he had put anchovies on only 1/2 of the pizza as we had requested. I told him that somehow they were all over it - and can we have a pizza with no anchovies on it? He wanted the 1st pizza returned so I said ok. I mentioned that I prefer a thick crust not a thin one. The 2nd pizza came with a thin crust like the 1st one. Oh well. The 2nd pizza came after about 20 - 25 minutes and the delivery guy was very nice and apologetic which made me feel good/better. I gave him the 1st pizza back and $10. Again we really like Hungry Howie's pizza but somethings had gone wrong this time. Did the buffet. Tried to do reservations was told they do not do them on Sundays due to church and crowds. Were not busy when the 10 of us got there so we got spots. But overheard other large table about how they reserved it, had table set up with balloons and cloths.... why them and not us... Pizza was dried out, but pasta was fresh and awesome. Good variety for a salad. Never had used dirty plates removed so we had to stack them so we could get more and when we left dirty plates were still on table.... we were there an hour.. But the 'reserved' group had their dirty plates removed every time someone got up to get more. Will never eat their again... First and last time.... read more

Hungry Howies is one of my favorites of the Fast Food Style Pizza Chains in Douglas food wise. I love the flavor and the flavored crusts are awesome. Prices are usually great too especially when you use a coupon. They have a buffet and you can order online, through their mobile app, or call ahead. My complaints is the drive way around the back of the store and on the drive through window side is very rough and one time at night I drove into a hole after picking up my pizza because of the drive way conditions as the lighting isn't great and didn't see the hole there. Also the servers/workers here are hit or miss. Some are good and polite, and some need to move on and find them a happier spot to work. Restaurant service is where everyone should be friendly, nice, and professional to ensure the paying customer is a repeat one. read more

I really give this place ZERO stars. We placed our order at 5:34, was told that it would arrive in 35-45 minutes; it FINALLY arrived at 7:11. Called the store and got some half-A apology, not sincere at all. Finally got the food, 2 subs and 2 salads. My husband's sub was so greasy he asked me if I was trying to kill him. He put it on 2 Bounty paper towels for a long while before he would even eat it. So very disappointed in this store's service and food. People just stay home, make yourself a bologna sandwich and save yourself a lot of money, stress and aggravation. This experience was just awful. And when he finally decided to eat it; it was abnormally full of jalapeños. He asked for lettuce and there was NONE but Goodness there were jalapeños on there. It burnt him up. read more

They will cheerfully cook a pizza of your choice at your request. Same buffet price. Discounts for seniors. Lot of kids and families trying to eat quickly and save a few $'s. Family Owned Franchise.
