Today was the WORST experience I ever had at Zaxby's. I understand inflation, but their prices for the decline in quality of food and wanting to charge for EVERYTHING has gotten ridiculous. And yes, I have RECEIPTS. First of all, Zaxby's has the world's BEST ice! So imagine my surprise when I was told they stopped selling it at this location because they "don't have bags" to put it in. Who does that? Why not order them? According to the manager, who is normally extremely friendly, snapped that she wasn't gonna do it (sell ice) for "nobody", because these directions came from the "GM". Then to add insult to injury, I politely asked the young lady for a cup of ice and she obliged. Only she neglected to tell me she was charging me 3.00 for it! It was not until after I placed my order and noticed she never asked me what size, that she gave me the biggest cup and failed to mention they charge for CUPS. I gave it right back and kindly asked for my money back. I don't know who this GM is but it's not good marketing to charge a customer 3.00 for a cup of ice when a whole BAG was 2.15. They lost a loyal customer today. I wasted 14.79-3.00 on dry wings, got charged for "extra" sauce when my wings were DRY and tasteless fries and soggy Texas toast that has since doubled in price. I've been coming to this Zaxby's for years. It used to be amazing 95% of the time. Now I find it to be a hit or miss- but I'm still faithful to it because I love Zaxby's so much! Fortunately** today I went and it was an on* day for this location. The salads were beautiful and fresh, the tenders were full and juicy, and the service was super friendly. Y'all keep that up! Like I said I come often but some days aren't this good :( If you've never had a Zaxby's- enjoy yourself a house salad, nibbler meal, or a wings and things! The chicken sandwich was really good and seasoning salt on the fries! Stay away from the sweet tea! The service was ok, they are trying to give Chick-fil-A a run for its money but they took my order 20 feet away from the menu so took me a minute to figure out what I wanted but was not disappointed. read more

Zaxby's is a Southern fried chicken place that most will agree rivals that of the great KFC. Less commercialized than KFC, you will find Zaxby's in 10 Southern States including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The fried chicken was definitely worth it and what I expected from the reviews. However, it was a bit too salty for my liking this day. I was told by several regulars this is not normal. Fried chicken tender plate with fries, cole slaw and a refreshing Mr. Pibb ran me just under $6.00. A quick, good, wholesome fast food treat for kids of all ages. read more

Today, I was disappointed with how cold, and a little careless the staff was to me and the people with me. My traditional wings were also not sauced enough, and the skin was very rubbery, and not crispy at all. However, great quick food can always be found here. One of the best, if not THE best, places to get fast food in Douglas. If your looking for bone-in chicken, don't come here...they don't have it. However, if you're looking for great chicken strips, hot wings, or Zalads, this is the place to be. Great atmosphere, good service, and a reasonable price make for an enjoyable experience. My first experience with Zaxby's was about 8 years ago in Albany. Boy was it great! Piping hot chicken fingers with equally hot fries. I made it a point to visit a Zaxby's every time I came down south. Boy have times changed. More recently the stores I have eaten at have declined in quality. This location was doing a brisk drive through business, so I figured that things will be nice and fresh for dining in. Boy was I wrong. The chicken was only warm and the fries soggy. And, at 2600+ mg sodium for the trouble, I just can't do it anymore. Seriously, cut the salt in half and it will taste just fine. The sweet tea was pretty good, though. In all, the meal was mediocre and about a third of it went into the trash. Zaxby's, your time has passed. Better options have surfaced. I'm moving on. read more

Not sure why such low ratings from others. I frequent this zaxbys often and it is always clean and busy and safe family environment! The food is very good their wings are fantastic and their fries are always crispy. Not much to not like about this place for first time eaters get the kickin chicken sandwhich. Very tasty! read more

Definitely one of my go-tos whenever I go to Douglas, this is one of the better Zaxbys's I have been to. The cashiers are usually polite, and the food is ready pretty quickly. The only major downside is that the lines to order can be pretty long, but I don't think I can down vote them for that. The food is always hot and fresh. I personally love their salads!! If you love chicken you'll love this place. My husband doesn't prefer to to here. There buffalo chicken salad is my favorite. My kids like to eat the chicken tenders and fries. The kickin chicken sandwich is also good I love the sauce and toasted bread it comes on. read more
