    BAT with focaccia bread

Service is fast, establishment is clean and big! Food was excellent. The BAT on focaccia was a HIT! The fruit parfait was her favorite here . Rich and creamy with plenty of fruit. The Kona sunset smoothie was tasty. If I wasn't leaving today I would be back again.

Nice place for families I'd say because of the games that are available like a large connect 4, jenga, etc. So many drink choices for coffee and super super sweet if that's your thing. Iced, hot or frappe for really any drink. Decent food items. So good choices I got I wouldn't get again but I'm glad I tried the breakfast burrito. If you like a lot of mushrooms and eggs get it. The Hawaiian chicken salad sandwich was alright and crispy. Depends on the day for ambiance as it can get pretty busy.

We needed something quick and light to eat after walking around Kona for a while and came across the Hungry Honu and it was perfect for what we were looking for. While the menu was not super extensive, the food was very fresh and delicious. We tried the green goodness turkey wrap and the Hawaiian chicken salad as a bagel sandwich, and both were really good. We were able to order quickly and our food came out in reasonable time. The food was especially refreshing after having eaten quite heavy "vacation meals" most of the week, so having something light and fresh really hit the spot. The restaurant itself is tucked back off the main road but has a huge indoor seating area as well as a few tables outside. Definitely a solid spot for a fresh bite in Kona!

Randomly decided to come here and we are glad we did! I gotten the island time smooth which was nice and refreshing. Then the kalua pork sandwich! They truly know how to make a sandwich! Plus the staff was really nice and the place was clean!

We really searched for something fresh that was that is the so customary bar food in this part of town. This place was a hidden gem. Off the beaten track and rewarded for going in. So many fresh food choices, lots of space, wonderful staff. If you are looking for a great place for lunch or breakfast give this great establishment a try.

A cute little place in Kona. Not conveniently located lol. The yelp address on Apple Maps took me to some apartment structure and just kinda left me hanging. I ended up driving down a one way alley to find it. I didn't know where to park except in this huge parking lot that for 1 hour of parking was $13! I took my chances tho and didn't pre pay the parking. I'm assuming this place isn't too happening because there were 3 other customers. I'm not sure if the server was joking with one of the customers but at the register I heard cussing between them and it sounded kinda heated. I had the turkey avocado sandwich and it was as yummy as any deli sandwich. Not super impressed but didn't hate it.

What a great find tucked away in the back of Kona Marketplace where Na Hoku jewelers and Pearl Diver Factory front Alii Drive. Walk into the Kona Plaza arcade and turn right then head toward Sarona Road and go left into the restaurant. I had the combo bowl of clam chowder and a half BAT (bacon arugula and tomato) sandwich . Generous servings, lots of bacon! Thursday special was 20% off coffee drinks. Great service, very clean. My friend are will be back to try more specials and food before she puts together a group luncheon social next month.

A hidden gem of Kona. Slightly off the main Ali'i drive in the Kona Plaza Condominium shops, this place is amazing! Craft coffee drinks and food that is both delicious and well priced. I got a Lucky Charm cold brew (cold brew with mint Irish cream cold foam topped with lucky charm marshmallows) and a breakfast pizza. The sauce on the pizza is sausage gravy and it was absolutely delicious. The pizza could easily feed 2-4 people. My wife got a smoothie and a jet lag wrap. The wrap was huge compared to most other breakfast spots we have eaten at in Kona, so your money definitely goes a lot further here. Lastly the service was friendly and fast, and the casual atmosphere was nice and kid friendly. We played cards while waiting for our food. We are staying above this spot and will definitely be back to try more goodies! Also, a cool touch is instead of order numbers, they have order animals where you can learn about Hawaii's wildlife while you wait!

Super cute off the beaten path in a little nook. Plenty of options for the whole family. Quite area with games to play and enjoy.

Fairly new. If you want a quick or light bite, this is the place. Lots of tables (inside and out). Friendly staff and great service. I had the turkey melt. The ciabatta was fresh, turkey was soft and tender. It literally melted in my mouth. Very delicious! My husband had the roast beef melt? I can't remember, but he enjoyed it as well. They have lots to try. Next time, we'll try the smoothies. Mahalo!

The service is quick and the quality is excellent. I've enjoyed their breakfast, smoothies, and coffee. You can order delivery, but it's also a great place to meet friends and it's family-friendly.

Lots of nice cool indoor spaces and outdoor spaces with umbrellas as well. Great place to chill ...literally and figuratively.

Found this place was open till 1 pm and they served pancakes. Nice, because the alternative would have been Denny's...no thanks! Nice little hole in the wall where you order at the window and they serve you your food at the table. I ordered the Seafood omelet and a side of Macadamia Nut Pancakes, wife ordered the Boneless Short Rib plate. My only gripe was the pancakes only came with maple syrup and not a macadamia sauce, which we had to buy separate. I was used to having the sauce come with the pancakes at a certain restaurant in Kailua, Oahu, so this was a bit unexpected. But the food was well prepared and tasty. It was really good! So good we came back the next day to have breakfast again. Only this time it was Adobo Fried Rice. We brought two plates for me and the wife which we soon regretted because my wife could not finish hers since the portions were really big. Should've have shared just one. Another place to add to our go to list to eat when we come back to visit Kona.

To begin, the greeting from Richard was welcoming, informative, and made us feel like we were visiting long-missed family friends. Once seated, the ambiance was open and comfortable, and of course, the view is beautiful. Our server, CC, was genuinely friendly and efficient despite being the only server on the floor AND shadow training a new server as well. She is skilled managing the floor! Now, as to the food.....I cannot praise it enough. The Brunch menu had a variety of options that made our choices difficult. We opted for the Lilikoi French Toast and it was fabulous. Truly memorable. We also tried the Banana Bread and it was heavenly. We were told that the everything on menu is house made, and I can say that this level of care shows. While we didn't get the chance to try any other menu items, we did watch the Salmon Eggs Benedict being served to several diners near us - it was a beautifully plated dish and we overheard rave reviews. Adding to the comfort was a musician playing guitar and singing beautifully. Frequently, he shared interesting local tidbits and stories about the songs he chose. Our party agreed that returning to Kalikala Cuisine is an absolute MUST when we get back to Kona. A big Hell Ya!

The overall experience felt lively and relaxed, and even the little geckos running along the railing trying to sneak a sip of syrup added a fun, memorable touch. That said, the food didn't live up to the setting. While everything tasted fresh and the presentation (especially the avocado toast) was beautiful, it was surprisingly lacking in flavor. It honestly felt like the island ran out of salt and seasoning--very bland for how fresh it was. Overall, a great place to sit, relax, and soak in the view, but unfortunately the food was the weak point.

Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.
