BUT, the Restaurant/Management pulls a sneaky move when paying your check! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK OVER YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING!!! They add a Service Fee (which is an 18% tip), but if not paying attention could easily go unnoticed! Because right below the total with the tip included - it lists Suggested Gratuities for 18%, 20%, 22%. And that is on top of the total with 18% already in! This is horse shit! Yummy fried seafood. I do have to say that I'm not a big fan of seafood. However I have been spotting this chain of restaurants - mainly this location in Davenport. It seems their parking lot is always crowded While driving by today my son decided that he wanted to try crab meat for lunch. So I figured... why not give them a try. It was a good decision, we ordered a kids fried Shrimp that came with different options- we chose white rice. The portion was generous considering I chose the red snapper fried basket lunch with Cajun fries and they were very good. It came with tartar and a red sauce, along with ‍ I saw they have good happy hour deals so I highly recommend you try them one of these hot days. Perhaps get a nice cold drink and one of their many options- not just seafood by the way - they also have chicken lol The service was very friendly from the hostess, to the server and management. We had fried fish and a shrimp boil. Every thing was way over salted, especially the batter for the fish. But they have great draft craft beer and it was on special so that kind of made up for the salty food. I love cheap draft that is good. read more

My wife and I were in Orlando visiting our granddaughter who is working at Universal Studios. She was working so we decided to check out the Hungry Crab. And we are glad we did! Came for an early dinner, so not too busy. But traffic was - took us 45 minutes from resort 2 blocks away! Yikes! We were seated right away and brought menus and drinks. Everything looked good, and the smells wafting through the dining area were heavenly. My wife went for the Combo Boil, Crab & Shrimp, with potatoes and corn. I wanted to try the Gumbo and have the Fried Oyster Platter with Onion Rings. While we waited, I walked around to take pictures, and maybe grab some smells closer to the kitchen. This place is decorated to the Hilt! Sea themes everywhere, even a Pirate at the door to greet you. Take it all in. I also chatted with the little Bot at the front. I believe you could send him with message or to make a trip to a specific table. But I was afraid I'd mess something up. My Gumbo came and was not disappointing. Great flavors of the Bayou and some kick. We both loved it. Then my wife's Boil came in a huge plastic balloon. When she opened it, the flavors just burst out. She loved it. My Oysters were lightly breaded, crispy but still juicy inside and my Rings were great, real onions! Great food, great service, quiet enough to talk. I have to say this placed surprised me. We stopped by being we were in the área. Our food was actually packed with flavor. Specially the boil. I picked the garlic butter seasoning with no spice. The server was very pleasant and helpful. The potatoes were nice and soft and as you dip the corn in all that seasoning it elevated it for me. The ambiance was very seafood. Hungry special combo S1 for $33.95. Included snow crab, shrimp, mussels, corn on the cob (soaked up the juices so yummy), potato and hard boiled eggs. They also have $10 lunch specials which is what drew me in. Shrimp/ mussels etc. So glad I stopped here rather than nearby chic fil a / Arby's / Wawa / Panda Express. The hungry seasoning / sauce was the best I've had at a crab boil restaurant. We got medium spicy which is a bit hot but was just right (for kids I'd go mild). Service was great and we were in and out pretty quickly. Garlic breadsticks were fine but a Texas toast or other bread would've soaked up the broth better. We didn't know how large the portions were going to be, so we each opted for our own bowl (bag) and decided if there were leftovers we'd just take it home. I had shrimp with crawfish ($16.99) and they had crab legs with crawfish ($24.99). It was a bit pricey, but when you get fresh fish and seafood, you know you are paying for it. I love the smell when you open the bag, all the butter, and seafood smell is so incredible. Everything tasted great, including the sides of corn and potato. Never had to look for the server, they were always milling around making sure everyone was happy. Used to have to go to New Orleans to get this now, I can just go to Hungry Crab. read more

Whether it's slow or busy, the quality of the food and service is consistently top notch. I had a hurricane and it was really good. Honestly this place needs a 10/10. The food is sooooo good and the price are amazing. The place has a feel to it that makes your brain prepare to consume seafood. The staff are really friendly and know the menu well. Every recommendation they made was a hit success. My wife and the kids all loved it. We loved the food so much we brought a friend to the restaurant a few days later to expose them to the great food and he loved it too! The fried catfish is really flavorful. The fried snapper is on another level. I've never had snapper fried before this place and trust me if you haven't had it you're missing out. The bbq wings were just right. The corn is mouthwatering. My wife said the snow crab and shrimp combo rocked. The crab bites she also said were really good. Our server Avery did a fantastic job and we loved the service. They bring lots of dishes in bags with the food (crab, shrimp, corn, etc.) dripping in the sauce. It's a mess, and there just aren't enough of the thin, single-ply napkins. This just isn't my thing. They did provide plastic bibs and lots of wet wipes. Our only hint was the word juicy on the sign outside. Food wise, the shrimp were good but messy. The fried oysters weren't great but were edible.
