Happy New Year. Meet up with some friends that live in Clearmonte. We usually meet up half way since I live in Bartow. They choose this place. The only time I eat Puerto Rican food is well hardly ever. In side of town is mostly Cuban and Mexico. This was a nice surprise. My two whites friends never had Puerto Rican food. This was a great place to start. The place was so clean. The staff were really nice. The food is delicious. I enjoy my shrimp mofongo. My friend liked her rice dish with sweet plantain. What I like is that I able to share my meal with everyone and too share there dish. We're not big eater so it's nice to share and not waste food. I how to go again. Like the concept for this restaurant, authentic Puerto Rican and Dominican food. The service was good and so was the food. We sat outside and ordered fried pork with rice and peas and Mofongo with shrimp and creole sauce. Also had an order of the fried cheese, it came with a sweet cinnamon sauce. The food was good and the pricing was okay for the portions. The cell service and wifi here is really poor. Like really poor. Maybe it was just the area. Been wanting to visit after reading the reviews and their posts in facebook. Their website offered a variety of different options. The reality was totally opposite, aside to the fact that there was many items on the menu available what ever was available wasn't even appealing. On top of it all, you will be charged an additional 3.5% extra if you use your credit card. read more

I hate to go out and eat and think I could have made this better at home... this was NOT the case here! The food was absolutely delicious! Authentic, well seasoned, and the service was welcoming, attentive and fast. We drove about 40 minutes to get there, and I can't wait to go back! Davenport came through with this little gem! This is a cute little restaurant, staff is very friendly and welcoming. It almost feels like you're entering someone's house and can feel the warmth all around. The menu is extensive and priced very well. You got A LOT of value, quantity and quality of food served here. I ordered the Mofongo with chicken with garlic sauce. it could seriously serve up to 2 maybe 3 people! It was so flavorful, filling, and DELICIOUS. Highly recommend! Came across this place because of IG! The address on IG is not correct, it took me to some random lot, but once I finally did make it here it did not disappoint. Cute little spot with plenty of seating and yummy food. I ordered the beef steak with sautéed onions and arroz con gandules. The steak was cooked to perfection and the rice was pretty good (the rice felt like it was missing something). Tons of options to pick from their menu from mofongos to even Dominican style food. Best bifongo churrasco I've had in FL. Noticed and love that everything was spotless clean, the mini fridges with sauces, everything organized, no sauce fingerprints anywhere. To go boxes extra plates napkins all super organized and clean. You can see the kitchen and they all looks clean. All servers help each other, there was no empty cup nor dirty plate on our table. People who can't afford the prices, not a reason to complain- you're just too broke and need to keep the complaint to yourself if finances are your issues.
