Lunch portion of Hunan chicken and Shrimp was tasty but very small. Still hungry. Would probably try a dinner portion if I had known.

The food was meh, at best. I got the Tso chicken and it was super dry and floating in sauce, the fried rice had zero flavor. My wife had chicken chow mein that had a couple pieces of chicken in it, also very bland and flavorless. Will not return. read more

Ok. I called this Chinese Restaurant to ask if they accept walks in because we are a big family (5adults, 5kids) it's our first time here and everyone's craving for Chinese. To my surprise, they don't accept dine in only carry out. But their menu is not updated. They even put lunch/dinner buffet. Good thing I called first. My grandma always loved the Crab Rangoon here. They were always friendly and the food was great.

I have always been told to deliver bad news with a good thing first, bad news and then another good tidbit. My wife calls it a shit sandwich. So here we go, we didn't have to wait for a seat or our food. The food is pretty much horse meat warmed up with watery versions of actual Chinese sauces. We got cookies when we paid. The best Chinese Restaurant in town. I've been to the other one. Still the best. Pork lo mien is amazing tons of veggies and enough for 2 meals. Crab meat ragoons are to die for. Amazing flavor. My boyfriend had the beef and broccoli. He said it was the best he has ever had. Hot and sour soup so yummy got a little kick to it but man is it good. Very friendly people that work there. This is someplace that I used to come to when I was younger, and I liked it. Now though, I wouldn't come back. We got the Mixed Chinese Vegetables, Crabmeat Wontons, Hot and Sour Soup, and my bf got Kong Pao Chicken. They were quick on delivery, but everything was bland, the soup was greasy, and the mix veggies were a mixture of undercook and overcooked. The chicken, which I didn't have, but my bf said that it was weak and not spicy, but the chicken was cook tender and juicy. "The water chestnuts was the saving grace." Now, I don't like to talk about the interior of places, but I am going to this time. Last time I was here (4-5 years), the booths were worn and ripped. This should have been fixed by now, but still has not. The shade above our table was torn and ragged. Service was just meh at best. One person running the front, which normally isn't a problem when you are the only one in a restaurant. I felt that we were not very important, took longer to get a refill, and what felt like forever for them to take our check for payment. read more

STAY AWAY! The worst food to be found anywhere, poor atmosphere along with the most inattentive service as well all conspire against this place. The worst sweet and sour pork imaginable. A very small speck of rubbery pork surrounded by the huge wad of breading that arrive not completely cooked through, YUK. To make it worse, when I finally flagged down the waitress in this tiny place, she was uncaring and just said next time ask for it without the breading. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! The sauce on the Hunan Beef tasted like it was from a can. The crab rangoon was just deep fried cream cheese in old oil. The lo mein was bland and watery. My favorite place for Chinese! Hunan (or as locals call it, Annie's) has been around for years for a reason - the food is wonderful!! They offer a small buffet for lunch and dinner of you can order from the menu. The buffet is only available during certain times and is smaller than what you'd find at a larger buffet only restaurant. Everything I've had there is flavorful and very filling. The menu items come in large portions - easily enough to take home for another meal. The buffet is probably the most popular reason people go there. A personal favorite is the egg drop soup - it's thick and packed with flavor. I've never had a Crab Rangoon as good as Annie's! The owner, Annie, is very friendly and gets to know her customers. This is a family-owned business and they do a great job! The decor hasn't changed much over the years but it's a part of the tradition. read more

Service was good and friendly. I had the shrimp chow mien. It was the lunch portion, but I thought the price warranted more than three shrimp. The taste was ok, but the dish was soupy and a little on the cold side. My wife had the bourbon chicken. It had a good flavor and had a decent size portion for lunch. We ordered General Tso's Chicken with fried rice and Chicken and Broccoli with steamed white rice for carry out. We also ordered one Egg Roll. The portions were large. The rice was in pint containers, the chicken in quarts. I'd say this is a second-tier Chinese place. It's not cheap; not fancy either. The C&B was the best we've had anywhere. The chicken was large strips of what appeared to be tender white meat, but I'm not certain. The broccoli was some of the best we've had anywhere, fresh or not. The egg roll was rather large and was very good. The General's Chicken was just ok. The sauce was better than that sweet and tangy stuff you get at the cheap places and the chicken was large, but it was still tough in many places and all dark meat. (I like dark meat, so that wasn't the problem). I wouldn't buy this there again, but would try something different. If we get back to Ludington and want Chinese, we'll try the buffet. read more
