Food was cold, and not fresh. It was not replenished while we were there. It is not kept at a healthy serving temperature. Not a good variety, and way below subpar. The best thing was the women's room! I suppose it's a great place to lose the food you just attempted from either portal. It gave us a good laugh ( I had to take photos ). Nice friendly staff but it's a Buffett and I hate Chinese buffets, they sketch me out. I knew coming here that it would be gross but it wasn't my choice. Very few vegetarian options which is disappointing let alone that it wasn't good. The lo Mein had a strange taste and the cho mein. The chow mein is appealing because it's made fresh in front of you. The fried rice was boring but fine. I was excited for the ice cream at least but it's fro yo and not good. It's only vanilla flavored and their desserts suck! That is actually a negative 1 star. Since the original owners turned it over to the current operators the service and the food have been on a decline. Today there was 1 person working the front, 1 working the service area, but she was only filling take out orders. No food was being attended to on the buffet, the fried rice was so old it was stuck to the pan. A family member came in a pick all the beef out of one dish and left a pan of onions for customers, you know its family because the go to the casher area table to eat; pan was still not checked or refilled by staff. I was served hair with my grilled food, straight black hair and we both had curly brown hair and offered a $5.00 discount after the girl working the front took the plate to the kitchen, said oh the check when I was standing when she came out the preceded to complete 2 other transactions with me standing at the checkout. At this point I had not shared my experience with any other customers that changed quickly. read more

I still believe that this small Chinese restaurant is the has the best take out, and I have had Chinese takeout from everywhere. The food is always excellent. My family never eats buffet, because I can admit they loose integrity of the flavor a tad bit, so we order and pick it up. The food is always cooked in a timely manner, and new once have we gotten home to realize our oder wasn't correct! The food is always hot and they have great prices. One large entree is $7.99 plus tax, and comes with steamed white rice or vegetable lo mein, and an eggs roll! The egg rolls, are delicious and always crispy. any other day than today I would recommend this place. But they sold myself and several others take out and buffet knowing they were closing soon, with out notifying us of it. The only sign says "Closed on Thanksgiving " I think they got frustrated with me bc they had to make more food. Not only for me but for all the other ppl that were there. i apologized saying that I wasn't trying to be complicated, which I didn't have to they should have told me. A lot of standard American-influenced Chinese dishes, and a lot of things dipped in batter and deep-fried. The main attraction for me was the Mongolian grill, where you can choose your own raw and partially cooked ingredients, and have them stir-fry it for you with a teriyaki sauce. I wish the grill had a choice of sauces and spices like most Mongolian grills, and I wish they had tofu. The rest of the buffet is not vegetarian- or vegan-friendly. Clean, nicely decorated buffet. Stopped in for dinner tonight. The place was clean & pleasant. Staff attentive. Clean restrooms a big plus! Food was hot and ready when we walked in...delicious! Wide and varied selections. Ordered General's Chicken for take-out and boy was I surprised. 1 order was enough for 2 people. The dinner came with an egg roll as well. Food was nice and hot. It's was tasty too. Highly recommend. Remember one order can feed two people. read more

EAT CLEAN while traveling. It has a hibachi bar that comes with the buffet for under $9 for dinner and I believe $7.50 for lunch. It's full of fresh veggies and meats. As for little oil and no sauce (its just soy sauce) if your'e super clean. If you're on I-95 going North or South, get off at the Roanoke Rapids exit, and take the 4-5 mins to drive to the restaurant. SO much better than fast food read more
