Had a similar experience to Savannah's, at around the same time (Jan-Feb 2022), just wanted to say you're not alone! Probably the same bartender, too, from the sound of it. Owner: "Leave and never come back!" I've been cut off at bars before, and I don't take it personally, but getting perma-banned over a minor misunderstanding seems a little over the top. Fun fact: This place has been on the market for 4 years. Really hoping it sells soon, so the owner can retire to palm springs or whatever. We were very hopeful walking in! The bar smelled clean, looked clean and was right next to our hotel. Almost immediately after we walked in I could tell it's was no bueno. The patrons, who I could only assume were regulars, immediately started in on us. Very loud and very abrasive. Totally wasted. We sat down ordered a few drinks and ended up leaving. The bartender didn't get the drinks right, the bar back was wasted, drinking with patrons. I figured it was best to leave rather then get into an argument or even an altercation. My friend is visiting Globe, and went to this establishment and was denied service, for no reason! Don't go there!

Great small bar on the corner in Globe! Greeted when we walked in... super nice bartenders! Very friendly and the Karaoke night was way more fun than we were expecting! Local crowd and felt welcome the entire night... don't be afraid to stop in! Ana was great!! read more

We make an annual winter day trip up from Phoenix to play in the snow with the dogs in the Rim Country. We come up through Payson, have lunch in Heber, and make the loop to Globe. This is the perfect place to stop in, grab a cocktail, and enjoy the roaring fire Sometimes we just have one and head home. Other times we make a night of it and stay at a nearby hotel so we can enjoy the evening. Humphrey's is like all good bars start out: unassuming. There's plenty of parking in back for big trucks. Football games play on Sunday, they have several pool tables, and the locals are friendly. The drinks are generous and the staff pleasant. But the fireplace! Did I mention the fireplace? That is the best, especially during a winter trip. The bar smells amazing and the wood crackles. Perfect atmosphere and completely unlike anything you can find in Phoenix. Highly recommend this little local gem. read more

Worse place to go if the owner " thinks" you have had too much to drink you are done by the bartender he doesn't even let you know himself!!!! I hate to admit I am a drinker which means I can drink more than most 5'1" 145 lb girls and handle it. I wasn't slurring my words or walking funny, I was winning pool matches and happy about it, I had two drinks at the bar and two drinks at dinner and got kicked out.... for what I don't know the bartender even told him I was walking distance from my hotel room and wasn't driving !!! I like this place due to the fireplace and pool tables but to be kicked out for no reason I was dumbfounded:( I won't be back again to bad for them cause I am awesome:) read more

Mold on ceiling, horrible owner and ever worse bartenders. No food. Saw a mouse behind the bar. Was disgusting.

We've frequented this local establishment many times, and had always had the usual substandard service. No worries, we get our drinks, have a good time and leave. This last time we went, party of 4, who had only been there for 2 and a half hours, left with an obscenely high bill. The bartender demanded payment while I was in the bathroom, no wallet or phone on me. She's over my shoulder as I am writing the tip and total. So she can hurry up and tend to other things, I write $10 for tip, because who's a math genius after drinks. Not realizing that having cash on hand for the tip was unacceptable. She sees what I write and says "oh my fucking god, $10 are you serious??" And storms out of the bathroom. I finally get to wash my hands. And come out, only to have the owner tell me that I have to leave, stating "leave and never come back!" I was upset, to say the least. A fun night of dancing and laughs, ruined, because the bartender wanted to assume that we were not willing to tip "an acceptable amount". Instead of trying to explain I'd rather tip in cash, we just left. I'm always a generous tipper but I guess they'll never know. We had heard several stories like this about this bartender in particular. Just had never fallen victim to her ignorance. Go here at your own risk! read more
