They took the time to find out what we wanted, were transparent about any issues a house may have to the point of telling us when something probably wasn't a good idea. When we found one they were with us every step of the way, even after the sale was done. Caitlin worked with us on the financial end and was so patient with our endless basic questions and panics. We've been here for a few weeks and still she is there for us. I can't recommend them enough. This is a really big deal for us. It was probably the most stress either my husband or I have ever been through, but it was much easier with such a great team.

I planned to sell my Trinidad house and have Jody help with purchasing a home closer to my son in a year. Today, the seller backed out. My son called Jody for advice. Jody said there was nothing to do. He had my son on speaker and before he hung up said to someone,"he screws me out of a job then wants me to help him," and laughed. After taking the time to meet with us and discuss what our budget looked like, Janine did all of the leg work and was able to find out what programs we qualified for, what the best terms of loans were, and she even negotiated down our interest rate. She took care of all the communication and paperwork with the lenders and our realtor, and helped us to problem solve when there were inevitable bumps in the road. Thanks to Janine and her team, we are now happily living in our new home with an affordable mortgage!

I recently navigated the financial maze of getting a loan to purchase my first home, and am…read moreincredibly glad I had Jennifer as my loan consultant to guide me through the process. I had a lot of questions, which she answered very patiently, never once making me feel like I was bugging her. Her answers were detailed, but at the same time she managed to cut through the financial jargon and make things easy to understand. I was impressed ... it takes mastery of a subject that complicated to be able to explain it to a "lay person" in a concise and easy-to-follow fashion. Jennifer was always quick to respond whenever it was time to move on to the next part of the process, like she was with all of my many questions in between. She was also good at keeping me moving through all the forms and paperwork involved (there is quite a bit!), without making me feel rushed. And she is very fast at her work, and impeccably accurate at the same time (a combination that can be hard to find). I was living out of state during the purchase, and there was one day when I was in town and had only half an hour to meet with Jennifer, as a result of my overfilled schedule. We had a lot of things to discuss and forms to fill out, and I was sure we would never manage to get through it all. But we did, with time to spare. And not only that, but when I reviewed everything later, it was bullseye-accurate. I wanted to go with one of the less-common loan programs, and also had an uncommon "add on" program I wanted to use that Jennifer hadn't worked with in the past. She never hesitated in her interest in figuring it all out (which was not the case with some of the other loan officers I talked to), and did so quickly and without any wrinkles in the process. One more thing to add ... as anyone who has shopped around for loans can attest, it's an awkward (albeit necessary) thing to do. You're essentially asking someone to put in a lot of work for you up front, knowing that work might not pay off in any way. For various reasons I talked to quite a few loan officers (half a dozen all told), and Jennifer was the only one who didn't make me feel uncomfortable about having done so. That, along with her obvious expertise in mortgage loans, plus the fact that she is very friendly and easy to work with, were the reasons why I decided to go with Jennifer (and Caliber Home Loans) for my loan.

As first time home buyers we had lots of questions and were hoping for more consistent updates and transparency along the way.
