I called and set up an appointment and showed up with my items. I thought everything was going well until it appeared that the lady was not interested in any of my clothing. I had two bags of very nice dresses some with tags on them from JCPenneys and Dress Barn. From the very beginning it started off with they don't take wrinkled clothes yet all my dresses were nicely placed in the bags folded in half, then it was we need the clothes to be in a bin, then we aren't taking size 10's and at this point I was feeling the same affect that I felt as I did at Victoria's closet with Linda where I literally stormed out of the their store because she treated my clothes/shoes like they were garbage. But with Victoria's closet she didn't care that the clothes were in a bag, didn't care about the size or it they were not pressed. It was we don't accept clothes from JC Penney's or Dress Barn, finding a tiny spot on a brand new pair of shoes that were never worn and made me feel worthless. I explained that I worked for the Federal Government in Washington DC and after retiring I am trying to find a place to give my clothing too not asking for any money and both stores told me they couldn't accept them. I had no intention of writing this review until I was talking to several women that I know and they mentioned they take their items to Sassy's in Sylva and Victoria's closet in Cashiers and they were shocked to hear about the experience that I had. They told me that they take their items in bags, they don't inspect them or check to see if they are pressed and drop them off with no problem(s). When I left Sassy's I had the same feeling that I did when I left Victoria's closet in Cashiers...belittled making me feel like my clothes were not worth anything. My clothes were extremely nice and I didn't want any money for them at all. I've never lived in a small town like Sylva, Cullowhee or other areas around here and have never experienced this terrible treatment as I did at these two Consignments stores. Most stores would be more than happy to accept them as I know there are women that would gladly enjoy these clothes. I have decided that I will take my nice gently used clothing which I have quite a bit of to a thrift store or a place for battered women in VA where I lived for many years and I will not receive the terrible treatment as I did at Victoria's closet and Sassy's consignment!

I did not find anything under $10.95- and I was picking out some pretty basic shirts for that price. As far as I know they do not do the color coded percentage off that most stores do. I did try to consign a few items but it was all denied due to wear- as in Jessica Simpson distressed boyfriend jeans were too worn. I guess if you're looking for a $300 coach bag and want to pay $150, then this could be your spot. My money could go further at other consignments in the area so I won't go out of my way to go back.

Oh my gosh I love the store!…read more I'm a big fan of metal art, and this store has a very huge collection of some very unique pieces. Inside the store has some very unique gifts and plush Halloween decorations. I really wanted those but those were out of my price range. Settle for a little metal mouse. The lady gave me a discount and I got him for $40. I'll call him Sebastian. Because we were headed to a 3-day Rock concert and we got to meet Sebastian Bach and SkidRow. . There's plenty of parking right on the strip and there's lots to see and do here I wish we had more time but we had to get going

Real fun store on the main strip in Cherokee…read more They have a ton of unique and cool metal art of all sizes and types. Inside they have spiritual stones, jewelry, tees, books, journals, a big section for kids, and plenty more art. Staff are super friendly and let us take a bunch of photos. We found this real cool metal art mouse for $45 and the nice lady inside let us take it for $40 if we paid cash. It's a really cool shop with good vibes. I recommend stopping if you're in the area.

What a delightful find in Waynesville!…read more I had gone for a run while away on vacation and on my route saw a familiar name--I enjoy shopping at the Fifi's in Cornelius, NC as well--and had to check it out! At the end of my run I returned and asked if they were associated with 'my' store 2 hours away. Not only are they, but I learned from the very nice and helpful salesperson that they have 17 stores in the southeast! It never even occurred to me to look for Fifi's elsewhere, so I was thrilled to learn this little tidbit! Now...the real reason for being there was shopping and boy was I ever pleased! A Ralph Lauren skirt in my size on the 5$ rack! I found an amazing St. John suit jacket...well, I found several but one can only buy so much at once without a scowling husband. ;) The store was clean, well-lit and had a super selection in many sizes. While not a petite myself, I was impressed to see a fully separate section for those sizes as well as a really great plus size selection! I wear 6 or 8 generally and there were a BEVY of items in those sizes. I truly think I could have completely restocked my wardrobe there--even a few evening pieces--had I chosen to stay on permanent vacation and not returned home. The shoe selection seemed quite nice in sizes up to 11, I alas wear a 13, so nothing for me, but lots of pretty pairs to look at and excellent pricing for shoes still in nearly new condition. While I cannot imagine making a trip all the way to Waynesville only to shop a consignment store, I can guarantee you that any future trip I do make there will include a stop at this delightful gem...and a purchase or two!

The prices were great and I ended up getting two pairs of socks and some gloves since it's been so chilly but the variety was meh. The overall size of the shop is smaller than my local Salvation Army but you could get some main necessities here. Not nearly as many household or knickknack items. The ladies there were nice as well. I wish I could have gotten more pictures inside but forgot. I will say it was well organized which is always a plus!
