Cider and menu, May 2025
Anna S.

Pretty cool spot for a quick beer or glass of cider. They only had one gluten free option on the menu which was the cider and it was pretty unique compared to other ciders I've tried. Unlike the sugar bombs I'm used to, this cider was nice and dry and refreshing. I liked it. They also have food here if you get hungry, although I didn't try any myself. You can take cans to go which my boyfriend did because he's obsessed with their beer. If you know someone who is a beer lover, I'd recommend stopping by especially if you're visiting from out of town.

Human Robot, Philadelphia, PA. I went to the belly of the beast. I'm pretty sure this is Human Robot's original location. This location has a drab industrial vibe. I included pictures of my The Cheesesteak Life beach collection clothing to lighten the mood. I like most of Human Robot's beers. This was a lime raspberry sour. It had flavor but not much sour. That's about it. No parking. No outside food.

Best craft brewery in Philadelphia bar none. Masters of traditional styles like lagers and pilsners and more, and their IPAs and other styles are more than adequate Cannot get enough of this place, and most locations have great food available too. Poes sandwiches is a must get while you are here

Human Robot is a craft brewery that opened in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in January 2020. It was founded by business partners Ken Correll, Chris Roller and Jake Atkinson. When they decided to open their new brewery, the trio found a location in Philly's Kensington neighborhood that had served as St. Benjamin's Brewing for a number of years. The partners hired Andrew Foss to be their head brewer; he had previously served as St. Benjamin's brewer for three years. The name "Human Robot" was chosen as a nod to the electronic duo Daft Punk. It reflects how half of the brewery's beers are lagers (human) while the other half are IPAs, sours and stouts (robots). Although they brew a variety of styles, Human Robot has become most well-known for their high-quality lagers. Human Robot has became the fastest growing brewery brand in Philadelphia. A second location (dubbed "The Haus") opened in Jenkintown in 2022, a third opened in Schuylkill Banks in 2023 (relocated to Brewerytown in 2025), a fourth (dubbed "Süd") opened in South Philly in 2023, and a fifth (dubbed "Doubles") opened in New Hope in 2025. I recently visited Human Robot's original location while my family and I were on a short trip to Philadelphia. I had heard a lot of great things about them in the past few years and was very excited to visit. I first had to get a pour of their signature "Milktube" (Czech Amber Lager). It is traditionally served with a "mlíko" (or "milk") pour, which gives it a thick, creamy foam appearance. Human Robot has popularized a version which is served in a tall, tube-shaped stange glass. I enjoyed it the recommended way... by chugging it. It helps to appreciate the hoppy aroma of the foam. It was almost like a delicious beer milkshake. I also enjoyed pours of "Czech 10°" (Czech Pale Lager) and "Tammy 13°" (Czech Dark Lager). Human Robot also has an on-site kitchen called Poe's Sandwich Joint. For lunch, I had the "Mushman" (chicken cutlet, house marinara, fresh basil, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan), my wife had the "Seoulgirl" (Korean fried chicken topped w/ Kitty's homemade kimchi slaw, drizzled honey, spicy gochujang aioli and cilantro), and our sons shared the "Loaded Fries" (house smoked whiz, bacon, chopped scallions). The food, like the beer, was also fantastic! I also purchased a four-pack of "Collective: Citra & Peacharine" (New England IPA) to take home. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Human Robot and I hope to visit some of their additional locations in the future!

Had a great time at Human Robot while in Philly! It has a great vibe, and the young man behind the bar was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. Only one stout, which I didn't care for, but they have some excellent hazy IPA's.

Amazing brewery in Philly. They have a couple other locations. The prices are quite low and they gave us samples and a free beer for my wife birthday so gave them a 100% tip. It's an older dark building which is nice and they have sandwiches to order but we were eating cheesesteaks elsewhere instead.

The bartender was super chill. Came in on a random Monday and he took great care of us. The beer was super unique, loved it! 10/10 would go again

Excellent beers poured by cool people. They even have a Lukr tap for their Czech-style beers. A must-visit for craft beer lovers.

My first milk tube and I kind of liked it! So light yet delicious. I had a Czech style beer and my husband got something fruity (can't recall its name) but he really enjoyed the fruity beer. I saw lots of regulars the last time I went. They don't have any food but I saw a bunch of people eating - maybe you can BYOF?

Review is only for drinks! Staff is very friendly and nice. The beers were so good. It is a brewery so they only have beer. I don't love beers, but the drink I had was so good. It was very fruity, it almost tasted like a fruitshake!

The Original Milktube experience!

Volleyball "Dad" group decided to make a quick run to Human Robot before recent NEQ girls volleyball tournament at the Philly convention center. Glad we did as what a fantastic place. Excellent selection and variety of beers and yes, you must try the "original" Milktube. Sounds/looks crazy, but a great experience (and tradition from the history lesson we were given by the staff. To top off a great experience, Poe'a Sandwich shop, located inside is an amazing menu of the most creative, most flavorful sandwiches you will get in the city. Can't wait to go back! Must stop if you are in the city.

This is such a cool vibe! They only serve beer so if you want cocktails or anything more elaborate than a simple cider or canned drink, look elsewhere. This place is really good for groups or individuals. It's loud but not too loud and the staff is very friendly!

Peter P.

When in Philadelphia make a stop here and forget the cheesesteak. Drink the foam and grab a sandwich! You will not be disappointed!

This is mainly a review of their catering but the bar/restaurant is also a great place to visit!!…read more We hired 2637brew for our holiday work party this year and I am so impressed with the entire experience. Everything was so easy, so enjoyable and of course so delicious!!! After submitting my inquiry for catering on their website, Mino called me right away to discuss our options and created a custom menu based on our budget, expectations, and dietary needs (vegetarian options). This was a rather late inquiry in my opinion (only 2 weeks before the event!!) and Mino assured me that everything would be just fine - and it totally was! We had two staff from 2636brew at the party to assist. They brought spring rolls, spanakopita, salad, meatballs and rolls, coleslaw, blackened chicken and alfredo pasta, and so many veggie options! Everything was outstanding! So many people were raving about how good the food was. And they brought a perfect amount of food. She even took care of our bartenders which was so nice!! Our venue did not have staff to work the party, so I had asked Mino to stay at the party to help maintain a clean space and they really helped to keep on top of the mess everyone was making! It was a HUGE help because I was able to enjoy myself and not worry about the clean up during the party. There was not much clean up at all by the end of the night. Their service was incredibly friendly and welcoming! Meeting Mino actually felt like she was a long time friend. I'm SO GLAD that we decided to work with 2637brew for this party.. they made the party planning so much less stressful and made me look like a star for pulling off something so wonderful! A HUGE thanks to them! As a side note - I also live in the area and went here for brunch the other day and was just as equally impressed with their location. The food was awesome! I ordered the Rancheros (I think that was the name on the menu) it was a bacon wrapped avocado with egg baked in it and some beans and salsa on the side. SO good and so pretty! My friend ordered Lobster Benedict and we also shared a plate of Bananas Foster french toast and ....you guys....!!! The caramelized banana slices and the crispy warm bread with melty vanilla ice cream ughhhh it was so amazing!!! Brunch is definitely recommended here! And service is great, I never had an empty mimosa glass :) Try this place out - you're going to LOVE it! I'm lucky to live so close and can't wait to visit more regularly!

From the outside you can't tell that it has a fun tropical/tiki vibe going on. Maybe it was just for summer, but it was really fun! The servers and bartenders were all in tropical shirts, and there were other tiki touches without going full-blown Tiki Bar. The bathrooms were interesting. All the stalls are unisex, single stall, and then the sink is a big trough outside all the stalls. Unconventional, but it works. We both ordered beers - we had the Summer Love and the Philly First. Both were really good! We shared them so we could both enjoy some of each. To eat, my husband ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with fries, and I had the spicy Buddha bowl. Chicken Caesar wrap was good (hard to screw that up), and we both thought the fries were pretty good. Not the best I've ever had or anything, but good, enjoyable fries. The Buddha bowl, however, was outstanding! Cilantro rice, edamame, carrots, red cabbage, broccolini, and I added chicken for protein. It was the perfect level of spice, and a really nice balance of veggies to rice to protein. 10/10, would order again! I'm probably going to end up trying to recreate it at home. The only note I have for it (and it's super minor) is that it could maybe have a sweet or tart note added. Mandarin oranges, mango, pineapple... something like that. I would absolutely recommend stopping here! Next time we're in town I will go out of my way to go again.

It works well for a big group without feeling like you're completely isolated from the rest of the brewery. The space has that very millennial industrial brewery vibe. Exposed brick, metal, wood, high ceilings, communal tables, and lots of open space. Basically the kind of place where you can grab a drink, hang out with friends, and accidentally waste several hours. The drinks were pretty mid for me. I'm more of a mocktail person, and the "mocktail" I got was basically soda with a dash of something else. Not really a true mocktail, so that was a little disappointing. The food wasn't particularly good either, but I'll give them some grace because this was an event for a large group. Batch cooking for a crowd is very different from making individual orders, so I can't say I'd judge the regular menu based entirely on this experience. The place was a little confusing to navigate at first, but everyone was really nice about helping me figure out where to go. The bartenders were friendly too, which definitely helped. Overall, I think this is a better place for the atmosphere and event space than for the food and drinks. If you're coming with a small group, it's a nice spot to hang out, have a few drinks, and just vibe for a while. I'd definitely come back for the space.

There's lots of preserved details and, aside from the steel stools and chairs you see in every farmhouse style bar, the structure itself makes it feel like the brewery could have been there for 50 years. Nothing else to say, really, except for that when it's 100 degrees outside the inside can get warm. Nothing a few cold beers can't fix.

If you're a craft beer lover, this place is definitely worth checking out. The beer selection was fantastic and we loved every single beer we tried! It's easy to see why Iron Hill has won so many awards. There was plenty of variety across the flights, and we had a great time sampling different styles and discovering new favourites. A few beers really stood out to us: the Key Lime Pie Sour, Brambleberry Ale, and Jack-O-Latte. All three were excellent in their own ways, and they were definitely highlights of our visit. We always love when a brewery offers creative beers that deliver on flavour, and Iron Hill absolutely did that! The atmosphere was great, too. We had a fun time relaxing, enjoying our beers, and taking in the surroundings. The only disappointment was that the Eagles lost while we were there! Even so, it didn't take away from an otherwise fantastic visit. We also want to give a shoutout to our server, Lexie, who was so nice!
