Think of a cross fit gym set up without all the scary cross fit people intimidating you. This gym is only used for personal training so there is never more than a few people there during your session. Joe is genuinely committed to you and wants you to succeed. He's really good at what he does, will call you out when needed -- ie. you ate like crap, you cancelled so you could watch the Bachelor, etc etc. He really knows nutrition and he changes up the workouts every time. He doesn't just willy nilly push you, he has you wear a heart monitor so he knows how far to push you and to make sure what he's doing is effective. I really have no complaints and working with Joe has been wonderful. I have gotten so much stronger in just a couple months. The education about nutrition has been key in helping me work towards my weight loss goals --- if only he could transfer self discipline to me too! If you're trying to decide whether to get a gym membership or try a personal training session with Joe, just do the personal training with Joe. Please change your front desk staff - your members are greeted (well, not really) by the absolute rudest people. I can't even. It's awful. We pay a LOT for our membership and it's like insane how rude they are. Everyone talks about it/ it's shocking nothing has been done about it. If it wasn't for the therapy pool and the fact that it's practically across the street from us, we'd cancel our membership. Based on front desk alone. Absolutely awful. Equipment is subpar - they need mirrors in the weight section upstairs as well. WiFi is terrible as well if you plan to listen to anything on your phone while there too. The front desk though... man.. they're the worst.

Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!

I decided to fully commit to the program and hope for the best... In 6 weeks, I lost just over 11 lbs! I love the Opposing Force familia. They are a quirky group but they keep things entertaining! The workouts with Jake and Cody continue to kick my butt every morning. Your sore muscles will be a testament that it's working! It's great that you get individualized coaching on your form even in a class setting. The nutrition plan provided by Liz really does get results! I also love that the trainers are constantly checking in with you, ready to answer questions and keep you on your game. This family is a fun one: they have themed workouts for holidays and put together extra contests to help everyone achieve their goals.
