Update: After reading the owner's response, I'm even more disappointed. Here's the full story so potential customers can see the pattern for themselves. I never planned on posting this or taking legal action. I tried for years to handle everything quietly and respectfully through calls, emails, and patience. Every response I got from the owner, Tim Fitzgerald, made one thing painfully clear: he refuses to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong. He will charm you when you spend money, but once there is a problem the story changes. You get delays, excuses, and endless "we're checking records" messages that go nowhere. His public reply to my review proves it. Instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, he hides behind paperwork and tries to catch me on technicalities. He even admits his former manager promised my elderly mother a refund, yet two years later she still has not received it. I told him she does not use email and just needed a quick phone call to confirm her mailing address. He refused. Saying he will only communicate in writing is not professionalism, it is avoidance. Then he claims the business "did nothing wrong" but also says the staff responsible are "no longer here." You can't have it both ways. Either the business mishandled things and leadership is responsible, or the staff were not the problem and he is scapegoating them. What's sad is that he still blames me. The former manager told me directly that he would finalize everything with Tim, and I believed him. That's on me. I should have followed up more aggressively instead of trusting their word. Looking back, it's obvious what happened--they smooth-talked me just long enough for my chargeback window to close, and then stopped following through. After everything I went through, Tim's final solution was to tell me to come back and finish my package like nothing ever happened. Imagine that. Two years of emails, phone calls, broken promises, and an admitted refund that was never mailed--and the best he can offer is to act like it never happened. That says everything about how this business is run. I did not start with anger or threats. I started as a loyal customer who believed his word. Every call and every email since has shown me that he does not take responsibility and will do anything to avoid accountability. The only reason I started looking into legal action and consumer protection reporting is because he left me no other choice. This review is the proof. Look at his response and decide for yourself. The man is bad news. I paid $3,000 for a Cryoskin 10-pack, but halfway through my sessions, I was told the machine was broken and pressured into using a treatment I had never heard of (Contour Light). The remaining Cryoskin sessions were converted into Contour sessions because of the broken machine. I felt misled; this was a bait-and-switch in my experience. My mother also signed up based on my recommendation. She was treated poorly by staff, and one employee spoke negatively about her to me. Both of us were promised refunds, but after months of follow-ups, we received nothing in return. Messages were ignored, and promised resolutions were never delivered. We requested refunds because we no longer felt comfortable using their services and because of the restrictions and limitations they placed on us, such as not being able to use the Cryo chamber on the same day and being forced into treatments we did not choose. It's especially frustrating because the Cryo chamber and sauna actually work well, and the employees who run those services were professional and easy to work with. Unfortunately, management, including ownership, just passes the blame to staff in the Cryoskin/Contour department, showing a disregard for client concerns and accountability in my experience. If you truly want to try red light therapy, it's cheaper and safer to purchase it yourself rather than going through this business. And please be honest with yourself, are the results coming from these devices, or your own hard work with diet and exercise? In my view, if these machines truly worked as advertised, the owner would be extremely wealthy. I used to recommend this business to friends, thinking it was professional. Now I question whether the services even work, or if the business operates primarily on marketing and upselling practices. If you value your money and respect, do not trust this business. I will be pursuing my refund through legal channels, and I strongly urge others to carefully consider before paying. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I purchased contour light sessions and used their infrared sauna and lost 6 inches! Contour light is where you are wrapped in these specialized lights, almost like being in a tanning bed, for 20 - 40 minutes. I LOVE how my overall mental health felt afterwards! I've been frequenting HOC for their infrared sauna for a few weeks now and have been enjoying it! The staff is friendly/remembers who you are/ set you up for your experience before you walk in the door. For any service, you can call or schedule online for your spot. They have cryotherapy, red light room, compression equipment, thera gun massages, massage beds, and infrared sauna of course. Perfect for any athlete or if you just want to optimize your health... like me. For the sauna, you reserve the whole room for 50 minutes I believe. You can set the temp, lights, etc. You are in there alone/lock the door so you can be in there naked... which I recommend! It's not a bluetooth sauna unfortunately but I put my podcast on loud on my phone and set it by the sauna door. Works for me- I hear it fine! They provide towels and a space to cool down. Bring your own water! It is pricey I suppose but what I like to say is- investing in your health now means you won't have to spend the same amount or even more later... in hospital bills or PT bills etc. Healthy habits are always good investments when you are young! The sauna is pricier than their other services for obvious reasons. I got a 13 pack for $390 which is perfect for me going once a week. They have other packages/unlimited/monthly packs at a discounted price...you can find anything that works for you! I usually find parking on Sunne or Treat Blvd.. parking is available surprisingly.. free for 2 hours! There is also a parking garage but I haven't needed it. I recommend HOC to anyone! read more

After having a lumbar anterior and posterior spine fusion I was left with extreme neuropathy from the nerve traction required during surgery. I knew it was going to be very difficult to and long process of recovery. The fusion was the best thing, except the leg pain and "humming" neuropathy was driving me crazy. I would say easily on a scale they were about a 6-8 irritation. I started PEMF treatments and it was amazing how after each treatment the "humming" was reduced. After 5 sessions the legs were significantly better and I wished I had begun this service sooner than a year after the surgery. I was beginning to think that I had reached my maximum healing but I was wrong. The PEMF accelerated my results and I now in comparison on a bad day they only get to about a 1-2 max. This review is way overdue. I don't give out 5 stars lightly- this place is 5 stars and more in my book. I came in with a friend over a month ago- she had an injury from running- and her dad got her a gift certificate, he knew this place would help her recover. We went in together, and I asked if I could take the tour with my friend. I was blown away with how friendly everyone was. They had a first time special when I went. For $37 I got to pick 3 services from a whole list of options. The first time, I enjoyed the Cryo-rejuvenation stack. This includes 6 minute cryofacisl- while laying on a bio grounding mat. Then 10 minutes of the light stem led light therapy on my face and the hydro massage bed. I haven't been this relaxed in years. I felt rejuvenated when I left. My friend and I took home some pamphlets to review the membership options. They are so accommodating here with all the options. My friend picked the $99 a month plan- she can go 3 times- if you don't use your sessions- they roll over to the next month. She can even gift a session to a friend for $10. She has been going more than the 3- when she goes visit 4-7 it's $25 then free after that. I picked the 3 month Vip plan- it's $197 a month- I can go everyday, and bring a guest every time for $30. I picked this plan for the guest option: I have been bringing in different friends all month long. Everyone loves it- and plans to sign up in the new year. I have houseguests staying with us thru the holidays- this is now an added feature I can offer them. For your guest- you can bring a guest you brought before. It isn't a 1 time option. They were even accommodating when I asked if I could bring my husband and another guest at the same visit. This opens up so many more options now- I can bring my husband, and another guest when people stay with us. I love the Cryo chamber. I'm doing 2:30 minutes now- followed by the red light room. Then I flip flop between the other services- depending on how my body feels that day. The normatec Compression is amazing, I also really like the theragun treatment. I am so impressed with how they give back to the community. They offer free sessions to first responders. They are also working on ways to be more involved in the community. My friend and I volunteer at the contra costa animal shelter- we have been bringing dogs in. This has been great for socializing our pups and also getting photos to promote them. 1 dog was adopted right after someone saw the video here. I was originally concerned about parking- but have never had any problems. There are spots right in front- as well as 2 complimentary parking structures. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. First time here, fantastic first experience! Shout out to Joseph for making the cryotherapy experience fun, positive and adequately pumped to get through the freezing temperatures! He jumped in with me to ease my nerves as I had read the first time it was a little bit torturous lol, but on the contrary it was fun and I felt great afterwards! I also tried the compression things, I felt like I might lift off into space, lol, not really, but it was relaxing to be squeezed into relaxation. And I tried the cryofacial which was also very relaxing, I liked the cold air on my face combined with the heat of the bed. I cant think of too many times where ive had such rapid relief as I had this weekend when i had quick ( probably around 3 minute) local cryo treatment from Tim, who was very personable and caring. I was on the 3rd day of a 3 day kettlebell workshop and my lower back was starting to get much tighter then i would like. I decided to get a quick treatment from Tim who had a table set up at the gym we were having the workshop at. After the quick treatment and a few minutes of light stretching I felt like brand new once again. I good a vicious ice burn. I don't think it's anybodies fault, but I've been doing cryotherapy since my surgery at reboot with no problem. The person who helped me was awesome, he did a gun massage that was very helpful, but the ice burns are just how healing 2.5 weeks later. I don't know what happened, but it was traumatic. read more

The staff is so polite and professional, the facility is super clean, and there are so many treatments offered other than the cryo-freeze. My other favorite services are the red light/infrared light room. This really gets the blood pumping throughout my body. The Normatec compression sleeves for the legs are another great service which makes my legs feel more recovered after a week of legs days at the gym and hiking on Mt. Diablo. I scheduled a 15 cryo facial, and it was a bad experience. I arrived on time at 11:45 and left at 12:30 without any service. The machine was malfunction, and the staff convinced me that it would be fixed in 6 minuets. I waited and waited and they kept assuring me that it's going to work soon. 2 staff was trying to fix the situation and after 45 minutes I was still waiting then I had to leave. After 2 days, I haven't yet received any phone call or text to follow up with my appointment even though they already charged my credit card in advance before the service. read more
