I hired Hula Construction on 3/23/23 to complete a block fence and two gates. The owner assured me that it would be completed by 4/1/23; however, as of 5/15/23, both gates are still unfinished and the block fence does not appear to be level or sturdy. The small gate is completely in pieces, with no slats, and not properly secured, and will not close at all. The large gate is so heavy that it is pulling out the screws from the wall and is not properly secured, cannot open or shut the gate without having to lift it and it is very heavy. The owner continuously makes promises to come out and finish but does not show up. The last time he showed up to do any work was on a Saturday at 830pm to 1030pm. He dismantled the small gate, put up one side and left everything else laying around. My red rock gravel in the front is now mixed up with concrete and random piles of red rock are now in my backyard, which never had rock before. He never came back and has refused to contact me. I have had several people try to contact him regarding this and he says he will get it taken care of but then I never hear from him. The owner has a problem with female homeowners and his ROC complaints show this same behavior over and over again. Learn from me...do NOT HIRE this company to do any work and if you do, do NOT pay them until it is completed. I believe the owner's personal habits are beginning to affect his work performance. Sad that he is taking advantage of women that are just trying to take care of their homes. read more
