One thing that really impressed me was, the Amish unsalted butter in a roll. There's just something about the freshness and homemade flavor, that makes it stand out. Super One is one of those must have places. Super One often has great prices on produce, meat, and dairy. The wife and I love making salads and have growing kids who live off of cereal and milk, so those deals on milk our always good haha the service from the people who work here are great, they smile, they get to know you, and soon you can call them out by name when you see them. I believe my only complaint about this store like many others, they are forcing people to go to self check out because 1. They are too short handed, or 2. They are eliminating check out by their own staff, which in my opinion is wrong. The industries that are eliminating jobs from people so that people will check themselves may be the way of the future, but I enjoy the interaction between the staff and customers. It makes me come back to shop there. Other then that, Super One is a good place to shop, it's nice to know where most things are from being a frequent shopper, but if I didn't I know I can rely on the staff to help me find anything in the store. This is a century-old business, but it provides the essentials you need to live in the area. They…read morenot only sell groceries, but gardening supplies, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, automotive parts, gasoline, maps, rubber boots, etc. Think of it as an old-time general store (in fact, the current building has that as its sign), and you get the right idea. The only down sides are the cramped aisles and small variety -- they have a lot of products, but not many different brands, as fits their patrons' needs. The staff are friendly and helpful, though, so I strongly encourage a stop. If you are in the area, I recommend buying a Superior Forest map at the co-op. They cost around $10 (I got a waterproof one), but they will show the trails and dirt roads that will help you figure out where things are. On-line maps are not reliable at placing things in this part of Minnesota; for example, this co-op is actually a mile or two south of the bridge over the Baptism river.

If I need groceries, diapers, ammo for a rifle, diapers, pet supllies, furniture, a new television, or even a new record for my vinyl colllection, Walmart has it all. The one thing I wish that Walmart would carry is a type of formula from the UK. I have to travel to another store to get this item, but that's ok. The other thing I will mention quick about Walmart is that the employees up in the front seem to do alot of standing around. The last time I was there I spotted 5 in the self chekout area doing absolutely nothing. Wouldn't it be great if they could open cashier checkout line especially when all of the self check lines are full?
