He gets fat shamed and is called by bad words every day many times at school. One of the students name call him as a carton character that is fat and it really makes my son mad. I sent an email to the principal around two weeks ago and explained every thing in detail but not only did she ignore my email and not responded to me, but also didn't approve to schedule an in person appointment with me to hear about what's happening to my son at school. My son is experiencing anxiety & depression and I have to consult with a psychiatrist soon because he didn't receive the support he needed at school.

Our child is a sensitive artistic type, and most of the teachers we have had are understanding, and work with my child's style of learning. The staff is caring and attentive. They know my child by name, and are aware of my child's needs. Any issues we have had have been dealt with in a compassionate way, with my child's education (both academically and socially) as the utmost importance. We can't afford to donate lots of time or money to the school, but we have always been treated equally, like other families. Are there cliques, of course, this is true at every school. Are there teachers that are not as warm and fuzzy, yes, just like real life. All in all, I feel my child is getting a great education, is safe and cared for, and will be a better member of society from attending Baldwin Stocker. I'm not discounting issues that a few parents have had, and I'm sorry if there have been others that have had problems there. I hope they found resolve to their situations. The parents I speak with are happy to be part of the Baldwin Stocker community.

But why didn't the teacher let her know when it happened? Another time my brother-in-law arrived a bit early to pick up my nephew. The kids were having outside time and my nephew was crying in a corner by himself loudly. He was being ignored by the teacher and aids. It wasn't until they saw my brother in law watching that they went to console my nephew. Obviously we pulled him out of the school. So scary to think that people like this watch our children.

My older son has phased out and is now in TCHS Geometry and just made the basketball team but my younger son is now back at Little Harvard. He's always enjoyed school but he is absolutely thrilled every day when he comes home from school, gushing about how great the teachers are, how wonderful his friends are, what he's learning. He told me about a child who cried when asked to introduce herself and it impressed me when my son said the teachers taught everyone to be inclusive, loving and no one made fun of her, just tried to help her. This is the environmental I want my son in- to learn to be kind, while having fun and learning. Really loving this place right now. If you're not near Arcadia School District, look up Chiao Hsin in Walnut and Monterey Park. These two so far are great for us!!! After my younger son phases out, my daughter will definitely be going next if we still live here.

They are always available for questions and are very helpful. Your child's grades will improve. They send home work that is challenging and not too easy, yet it is still appropriate for your child's grade level. I would recommend them as a parent. They also do spelling bees which help reinforce skills learned throughout the school year so they aren't forgotten.

He connects every lesson with "life stuff" (Again, verbatim.) It all just spilled out of her, she hadn't even put her backpack down, she was so jazzed. So grateful for that. The cool Mr. Z is husband to Mrs. Jackie, whom my daughter also adores. Mrs. Jackie spoke to the class about grit and it completely won my daughter over. They talked about being resilient and how to handle difficult things. My daughter had been struggling with juggling her schedule with club basketball, school, and friends, and that class helped strengthen her resolve and rise to the challenge. I hope hope hope Mrs. Jackie can squeeze a few more life classes with our 7th graders before Baby Z makes his/her appearance! All this to say, thank you, Ziomeks, for being at Holy Angels, for being the cool role models our kids can look up to and listen to! Update - over the last few months the school director, Cheryl Roberts and the lead teacher,…read moreFernanda Cuevas have gone so far and above what I could ever hope for from any school. Not only do they continue to help our daughter grow and give her the personalized attention she needs in class, on the playground, in daycare. But they have gone to the whole way to the mat for her to advocate for the essential services she will need to continue to learn and grow. Our daughter may well be stronger and even safer years after she graduates from AMS because of their limitless advocating for her. Separately, our daughter is now communicating at what an independent assessment has said is a level 1.5 years above her age group. And she's an increasingly confident and determined little person. Someplace else, she might be reciting more things by rote or I don't even know what skill someone might need a toddler to have. Instead, she can and will tackle anything. It just doesn't occur to her there's something she can't do. They are an enormous part of that. And just great partners in all aspects. I'm a better mom because I know them. Arcadia Montessori school is not just a school of magnificently talented, dedicated and kind people. They *love* their students. They advocate for and protect kids way beyond what one could reasonably expect from anyone other than immediate family. They just bring tears to my eyes - more than I'd like to admit! And just yesterday when I went to pick up our daughter who otherwise has deep separation anxiety said - mama, can you come back a little later?

Both kids started at AMS around the age of 2.5, after they were potty trained. Both absolutely thrived in this environment and saw incredible development milestones throughout their time at AMS. The teachers and administration at this school are simply incredible. Each teacher and administrator showed an incredible amount of genuine attention and affection for our children. As children move through the school, through the different classes across age ranges, and through their development, each teacher has age-appropriate and individual child specific support for the little ones. We unfortunately started at this school during Covid so we had limited access and engagement early on. However, as things reopened, we had an ability to come to the school for events, come make independent visits, and engage more in the day-to-day activities of our kids. Under the leadership of Mrs. Cheryl Roberts, our children were provided with an incredibly supportive environment to learn, grow, and to most importantly be kids. Our children showed incredible development throughout their time at AMS. I can confidently say that their reading, speech, math, and life skills developed significantly because of the attention and help of the teachers and administration of the school.

Looking back, choosing this school was the absolute best decision we could have made for his early education and development! Every single teacher here is exceptionally nice, patient, and genuinely invested in the children's growth. They create such a warm, welcoming environment that my son looked forward to going to school every single day. What we love most about the curriculum is the perfect balance it strikes: Strong Academics & Creativity: They have an impressive academic foundation that fully prepared my son for his next big step into elementary school, but they always keep it full of creativity, imagination, and fun. Endless Activities: The school keeps the kids engaged with a wonderful variety of activities that brought out the best in my son's curiosity. Amazing Care: As a parent, peace of mind is everything. The school safety is top-notch. Plus, it is incredibly convenient that they provide two healthy snacks and a nutritious lunch every day, which my son loved. If you are looking for a safe, nurturing, academic, and creative preschool that feels like family, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
