After waiting 20 minutes, I was seen by Morgan, who was sweet and friendly. The two starts comes from sticker shock. This is a salon in Trinity, Florida located in a deserted strip mall. My last salon (the stylist left after giving birth) was half the price! We discussed a cut, a few highlights on my mohawk area, she suggested adding a gloss or glaze, and said it would cost $300! WHAT? That is insane! When I asked why so much and said I paid way less in my old salon, she said then go back to them. Wow.

It was the most horrible, traumatizing, demeaning and discriminating experience I've ever…read moreexperienced, not only in a place of business like this, but I'm my entire life. Please note, this was my 1st time here & my stylist was Cliff, who I never met. Things were great, so I thought. The usual chit-chat, then came the questions about my hair. I explained how I'm going through a lot thought now with my thyroid and the meds being off, which has been causing my hair to become dry & fall out. He was shocked by this and asked more ?? about my medical condition, which I answered, because it wasn't a big deal at the time. I did explain that it does make your body want to shut down. Again he asked for more details on that. I told him for me, I'm in constant pain, which I'm managing, I'm tired all the time, brain fog, etc. I told him the thyroid runs your entire body, to which he seemed fascinated by. During all of this, he was combing out my hair ( roughly) and putting on color. He wasn't gentle at all, and when I ask him if he could be a little more gentle on my hair/scalp, all he said was, "I've been doing this for over 45yrs and no ones ever told me I was too rough, but OK." No apologies. We talked a little more about his family, then he wanted more info on my health, which I just gave basic answers, because now I'm wondering why. Now I'm back and ready for the cut. He puts on the dry cap, starts to comb through my hair and thought at that point, he slammed his scissors down and yells out, for the entire salon to hear, "I can't do this"! He con't, "I can't work with you, we're just not getting along." "With all your" health issues" and problems with your thyroid, I can't take it. " He then runs up to the front desk and starts ranting to ask the other stylist and " begging"for someone else to do my hair, because he "just can't because he's not getting along with me." Not ONE stylist bothered to come over to see if I was OK. When Cliff did this I went into a full panic /anxiety mode from past horrific trauma. The ones not working stayed on their phones and pretending nothing was happening and the ones working along with the clients, would stop and watch. There was a male stylist right across from me, who I purposely made eye contact with and he just looked away. WHY? Everything Cliff did/said was traumatizing, mean, demeaning, humiliated and the worse thing he did, he used my medical health to discriminated against me, which I'll never stand for. 5 called TWICE to speak the Owner/Manager ERIC SIPE, but he didn't both. That z says a lot about a "man" and a business owner.
