I was looking for a new salon and choose this one based on reviews. Upon walking in was greeted immediately and then promptly fell to the waist side. Went in for highlights and had to flag someone down because they forgot about me and my head started to burn. The worst part is that one side of my head was lighter than the other because of how she did the highlights and it fried my hair! After talking to the manager she thought it looked fine and still had to pay for the worst job I've ever had in my life! Bri was very sweet but the hair did not meet expectations. the color was $70 and the cut was $60, which is odd. I was referred to Bhava by a friend who also has very thick hair in search of a color specialist that could handle my mane. I originally saw Jenn who is an angel and amazing with color but she abruptly left and switched to Karen. After seeing her foil approach I was honestly blown away, everything so neat and calculated! She got many foils in my hair without in bleeding color and the outcomes was beautiful, I had been red and was unhappy (my fault) and she brought me back blonde in one process, totally amazing. This was my first time to this salon and I will definitely be back! When I called, they were able to get me into the schedule the same day, even though I chose to go the next day. I was scheduled with Jen for a color cover up and cut. When I got there the salon was clean and organized, with plenty of Covid safety measures in place, and I was taken back right away. We went over my wants and Jen got straight to work. The process was very smooth and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I love this place. I always feel like I can trust an Aveda-associated salon but this one blows any other I've been to out of the water. Everyone is super friendly and the service I have received is spot on time after time. When I leave I feel like I had a spa day. The hand and head massage is a great start, followed by an attentive stylist to make sure all of your needs are met. I most recently had Danielle for my cut and she was a gem. I went here and got a consultation and was quoted a price. I came in knowing my hair needed a lot of help. I was told my the girl doing my hair and one of the owners that they could transform my hair to what I wanted. Well when all said and done the color was nothing like it was suppose to be and my price was double the quote. Washed my hair one time and the color came out. A bit pricey for the cut $62 (includes a wash, scalp massage, conditioner, hand massage (while conditioner is in) rinse, cut and blow dry/style. I was very happy with stylist but she did not know how to cut as I asked. I've been going to an Aveda salon for close to 15 yrs, on and off depending where I have lived. I recently moved from Sarasota, FL where I loved my stylist and hated to change locations. I was excited when I found an Aveda salon in Trinity, FL near East Lake, FL. I really really want to like Bhava! The salon is modern, clean, with an open concept. Instead of one stylist, I was paired with two specialized stylists- one specializing in color another with cut. I have tried this pair now, twice. My colorist, Nicole seems to know her stuff and did a great job with highlights - except the first time I left with white hair still visible at my temples and was told that highlights and gloss doesn't cover white hair (I did not ask for it to be covered- my fault, I guess?). The cut by Danielle, who is suppose to specialize in Bob cuts- was just- OK. I wear a simple Bob with face framing. The shape of the Bob cut was cute ...but she seemed be lost when I asked for face framing. Both times ( same cut) I had issues with the face framing. This last time the owner Terri fixed the face framing before I left the salon. Additionally, I went to the bathroom while my hair was processing and I came back to all my belongs moved by another stylist who wanted the spot where I was sitting ( despite other stations being open). For the money, 's reputation of quality, I expected better quality of service! Despite, these "hiccups" of trying a new salon. I will be back one more time before moving on to another salon (three strikes your out!). Like I said, I really really want to like this salon! read more
