The bank was a…read moreconvenient walk from my house and, with a few exceptions, the staff was efficient, helpful, and friendly. Those who weren't around for long. When I moved to Cold Spring I was very pleased to find an M&T branch even nearer my house. Again the staff was very good, including the new branch manager who was hired fairly recently. The situation Lynda B. described in her 2014 review no longer applies.

I would strongly advise against using this branch. While most everyone in here is lovely, the…read morebranch manager is extremely unprofessional, and downright rude. Zero interest in customer service, and or helping out her clients. I had heard this from several people, but had never had any dealings with her, until today. I am sad to report that I too now have been exposed to this. Disheartening, because we place our money with a bank, trusting them with our livelihoods and then get treated as if we are disposable.

She asked Carrie several times for help to which the first time Carrie responded " what does the check say?" Several minutes later Mirrandia asked again for help - Carrie says " do 1 at a time. At this point I had been here for about 15 minutes- Carrie didn't seem to care that I had been standing here all along - didn't offer any more assistance. During this time Carrie assited 2 customers. Which 1 customer asked her if she liked it here- Carrie responded - yeah there's plenty of room for advancement and its close to home. Still standing her with Miranda struggling. Asked another associate for help but with no end result. While standing at the window for 30 minutes I was privy to the Branch manager having a conversation with " Chris" the receptionist- it was initially entertaining until it wasnt. Tabitha is the branch manager- she would be celebrating her anniversary soon - and she will be going to Rhode Island - not sure if Rhode Island was where she was celebrating, anyway. Probably 20 minutes into my visit to the branch. Oh yeah - customer told Tabitha she looked like she lost weight- Tabitha responded - I've gained a few pounds - Rice Krispy treats go down like water. Miranda asked another teller for help - Marie- she had been cleaning her work station- and again totally oblivious that I had been there for 25 minutes now-told Chris- the receptionist she would need numbers for the override- Chris said if your numbers don't work neither will mine-At this point I asked for the branch manager- was told she was out to lunch. When Tabitha did arrive 30 minutes into my adventure- she said she knew what to do - I had been in the pervious week - it was not as entertaining as this incident . I don't know do you think this is worthy of any stars? In a nut shell there where plenty of employees on staff to assist- Nobody cared that I was there for 30 minutes. Please look at the video- this is not an exaggeration. During my adventure there were literally at most- 5 customer transactions during my stay. May 3 was the transaction date - I believe I arrived at 11:45 ish and departed 12:18. Gotta see it to believe it !!!!!!!!
