In short, we were denied entry on a recent flight to Curacao- long story- and Manuela literally sprang into action and was able to get our entire package, including flights and resort booking- shifted to a date later in the week, with no extra fees and/or expenses incurred on our part. What could have been a major inconvenience, and possibly the loss of our entire trip, turned into nothing more than a minor aggravation. Anyone thinking of doing their own travel booking can do so at their own peril. It's travel disruptions such as this one when you will be glad you had a capable and savvy travel agent to act on your behalf. I was planning my Destination Wedding with an agent working for another company...I had sent out our save the date cards, created our wedding website and everything. One day I got a call that the agent I was working with was no longer with the company and the prices this person quoted me were completely incorrect. I was FREAKING OUT and knew that I had to stop using this company even though I was completely embarrassed to tell my guests that I had a change of plans. I went to Deanna at CDT and she fixed everything! She encouraged us to change our location to Cancun, MX and provided us with all of the Wedding Planning information for her recommended resort (in our budget). Deanna not only booked air for most of the guests, but hotel and transportation for all 30 guests. She also went above and beyond and acted as a liaison between myself and the Wedding Coordination department at the resort. She was always there to assist us, and tell it to us straight.
