Normally there are 75 to 90 people on board, we had a total of 14 and had the boat pretty much to ourselves. The crew on board were fantastic able to mingle with guests providing additional local information along the the way. This was a wonderful experience and delightful way to spend the afternoon drinking Spaten Oktoberfest and Kölsch while cruising down the Hudson. Thank you Diane for the inspiration!!!

Seating is available inside and on the top deck. A bar is located inside. The captain narrated the wonderful sites along the way-Bannerman's Island, Cold Spring, Storm King Mountain, Breakneck Mountain and West Point. The fall foliage was breathtaking. -Definitely bring binoculars for great viewing. The entire crew was wonderful. A shout out goes to Belinda. Parking is available in front of the dock. Just check-in with the crew to be sure you're in the "right parking". Please take any valuables with you. Pride of the Hudson is a wonderful experience!

It's an all wood vessel designed after the old sailing sloops. And I must say it's a very good-looking vessel. The crew, which was made up of almost all volunteers, were great and very personable. As part of the trip, we all got to help hoist the sail which was quite the experience. It actually takes a lot of work and people to hoist this massive sail. We sailed in the evening and got to watch the sun set over the city. We were lucky that there was enough wind to get us moving but not too windy that it made the sail rough. We had a such a great time and wished that the sail was longer!

Ring your own snacks they don't sell anything on the boat. I am glad I got to experience the ride on a sailing boat. But for me one and done works. You can help raise the sails if you want to.

After having difficulties loading up the boat for the season, a worker finally came by to rudely inform us what was being done wrong. We don't work at a marina or on boats, we launch the boat in May and it stays in the lake at our dock until the fall- two different processes done once a year each. The worker stood there to say what was done wrong and as we tried to fix the issue continued to make rude comments about us fixing the problem incorrectly. Talk about helpful costumer service! Not. I'd suggest bringing your boat to Candlewood if you have the choice- larger slip to lunch your boat and probably better customer service.

He arranged our reservation for lunch at the Shadows and took care of every detail. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and the sails never went up. I think part of it is that Capt. Peter is on the boat by himself so coordinating the sails and navigating the river as a one man operation limits the opportunity to actually sail even if the weather may allow for it - that was the biggest disappointment, especially given the $$$. We weren't on the boat to party but rather it was a trip to sail. Otherwise everything was great and we recommend hiring Peter and Osprey, especially if you are a group and want to have a party.

There are not a lot of viewpoints along…read morethe trails, except in some areas with a nice big field that makes up for it, specifically, the Sierra Trail. The Muller Pond Trail is a loop trail that highlights the lake, which isn't the cleanest and most pleasant to look at. With the trails being marked well, the only big complaint I have is the bugs, and also the mud I come across. To me, that kind of ruins the fun and experience. It would be nice to see wooden boards added, along with bridges as well. Take note of that on the hike. This is still a great choice to make the stop.

Here and there she tells me what she has this available or asking questions about my boyfriend and I (height, weight and etc.) or if I can do this day or that day. Yet when I reply within that second, i won't hear back until 2 weeks later. BY THEN those days that we "settled" on already past!! Days goes by then weeks then I'm looking at months going by!! . The horseback riding experience itself was fun for us, total beginners!!! Horses were tamed and…read morethankfully, no one fell off or got injured. 1 - Reservation - Bought my voucher from Groupon. Reserving the date on the website was a breeze; however, cancelling and rebooking another date was a nightmare!!!! No one would answer the phone or email in a timely matter. We emailed them to change from Sat 10am to Sun 10am; a few days would go by before someone wrote back to say "Sun 10am is booked, what about 2pm?" I replied "OK" immediately. Then a week goes by and finally someone replied, "Sorry Sun 2pm is booked, how about another day?" By the time they replied, the slots were already booked. It was ridiculous! 2 - Day of Ride - Helen, the owner?, called us at 7am and told us that the trails were closed, because of the heavy rain the night before. I was offered to either to reschedule or ride the arena. There is no way I am going to reschedule, so we went. We arrived 45 min early just to check out the farm. There were 4-5 staff there; all young college-like ladies, plus 1-2 older women. The farm was open, with cats and chickens roaming freely around. We signed the waiver form, grabbed our helmets (gross, small and dirty!), and mounted our horses. 3 - Horseback Riding - Our horses name were Aurora, Jupiter, Levi, and Lakota. The 4 horses trotted in a line; 2 staff were walking and leading the first 2 smaller horses my daughters rode. For an hour, we rode around the outdoor arena, and up and down the driveway path twice. My 10 year old daughter said "We were not really controlling the horse that much. It was boring, because part of fun was to learn and control your own horse the way you want, but that did not happened." They did not offer any riding lessons or stories of the horses or rescue facility. No hot cocoa either.

Getting to the peak has loads of great views. Some places on the trail is pretty unclear where to go, as we ended going off the trail. It took a bit to notice, and I was asking to my friend, "where's the red marker?" 15 minutes in (see photo). We ended up turning around. Silly us. Just keep an eye out for it on the tree barks. If someone's not in best shape, it's good to stop once in awhile to catch a breath. Go slow in areas where it's very steep. On a side note, *Definitely bring water bottles.* We never got to the end of the trail, but that will be for another trip.

It was very confusing and we were unsure where we would end up. We got to a nice overlook and stayed there for a while then turned back. We didn't finish the whole trail because we didn't even know where to go. It took us 3 hrs roundtrip to the mountain overlook and back to the parking lot. Very uphill and rocky trails and slippery with all the leaves. Definitely not a walk in the park
