We first met Stephen Hudson when we were searching for a lawn service as well as wanting to install trees in our backyard for privacy. We also had some concerns about the backyard which was very uneven and did not drain properly, so was constantly flooded. Stephen came by and walked the yard with us on multiple occasions, describing the services they offer and what he thought they could offer for our yard. We wanted a usable yard with some privacy for our daughter and our two yorkies.
There are two separate but related components to his services, one is the lawn maintenance which is done at the highest level and the second is their creative genius to design yards. Stephen described his vision for our yard in great detail and answered all of our questions. The best part was of the whole process was he was not pushy, gave honest direct answers and always kept price in mind. He has a genuine passion and it's obvious when listening to him talk.
Stephen had a design layout made for our yard and sent it to us. We went back and forth many times with many meetings walking the yard to get to a common vision for our yard. The design we ended with was a starting point because along the way things come up or sometimes what is on design is not the right fit. Stephen and every person who works for him kept us in the loop of what was going on so we could modify things and make sure everything was what we wanted.
They started by transforming our front yard with beautiful lights, trees, plants and all other details. Our backyard was the big project, they built a beautiful waterfall and a patio with fire pit all surrounded by trees that made us feel like we were in paradise. After four months of work,as they were nearing completing the project, we found out we had more land than expected and would need to re do a lot of planning for the yard. Stepen and his entire team took it in stride and met with us several more times to include the new space into a design that fit with our whole yard. We ended up with a four section back yard each with its own personality but complementing each other. We have a waterfall section with turf at the bottom for sitting and relaxing. We have a beautiful patio with a fire pit and Pergola with swing. The third section was a playground with child safe mulch and a playset. Finally we have a large space for gardening and other recreation. In each section there are trees, plants and lights that we picked out together make it all work. We even ended up with fruit trees!
