It's not your well known FL beach - no soft white sand - mostly a sandbar and yes, we saw a couple walking, but not most ideal. Most people sit on the seawall while watching a sunset. You can tell that it's one of the bigger attractions in Hudson because parking was hard to find. Of course, one of the restaurants had cameras to monitor their precious parking spots to ensure you're actually eating there since there isn't a lot of parking in the area. The good thing is that a lot of people were leaving, so we were able to secure a spot. They have a sidewalk, so it's handicap accessible. They have a pavilion with picnic tables. Fishing & swimming is prohibited. Boat ramp accessible and a big lot dedicated for parking. Grab ice cream after at a local shop!

I remember this beach at least being swimmable years ago. Today, there is a "no swimming" sign (due to bacteria levels) and the place is looking rugged. That didn't stop folks from sun bathing on the small strip of sand... and truth be told, it didn't even stop people from swimming either! If you're looking to fish, you have to do it on the "south" side of the beach.

This is no beach at all. The city has stopped replenishing the sand, so you will be walking on mud bog bottom, rocks and shells, hard to go barefoot in the swimming area. I wouldn't go top this beach with my kids. All of the good reviews are not reviews of the beach but of the restaurant or the sunset while parked in your car. But that isn't what this review is for or it would have them in the name. The beach sucks and the city of Hudson should be ashamed. Especially since they charge to park at this cry for help of a beach. I got off my motorcycle to take pictures of the wreck of a beach and found a pile of crap right in the middle of the only decent sand on the beach. Still don't know if it was animal or human... Don't waste your time here, unless you think you or your kids will enjoy walking on rocks... It has been many years since they put sand on this beach and I don't believe they plan to ever do it again... I am a native to the area and my family use to go here since you drove your car out on a sand bar to go swimming. It was nice back then, the city should have never destroyed that...

This is a great little beach for a picnic in this local town of Hudson. The water is not swimmable in locals opinions. There are places to ride bikes, build sandcastles, kids can play on the small playground, and there are a few geocaches. Multiple pavilions and about 4 eateries of all styles. Also, on you're way out, be sure to check out the local Hudson Ice cream store!

Hudson Beach has seen better days. Not that I was expecting much from this place but it still was a disappointment. In fact, as a lifetime Floridian I was embarrassed by the "Beach". If a tourist came here first and thought this was what Florida's beaches were like they'd leave and never come back!! Let me explain... Most of this park consists of a seawall/cement walkway along the water. There is about a 2-3' drop from the wall to the water. There is no sand here, just lots and lots of nasty rocks. They do have a sandy section of the park. This small area starts with some sand, and then there are lots of piles of dried sea grass which leads to the water and plenty of rocks. Again, the sand leads to the water and nasty rocks. Some of them as big as a football! If you make it to the water (you HAVE to wear shoes or risk cutting your feet) then you will find some sand, some rocks and lots more seaweed. The swimming area is small and borders the canals which lead to the housing development. That means you are swimming right next to where all the boats come in and out. It is kind of smelly here too. And the sand they did have was FULL OF CIGARETTE BUTTS!! My poor son was trying to play in the sand and just about every handful of sand had someone's nasty butt in it. If people are going to use the beach as their personal ash tray then it shows how little respect they have for their local beach! It is just trashy but there was plenty of other trash to keep the butts company: fishing line, wrappers, bags, etc. It wouldn't cost a dime to have some volunteers come out and clean up this small beach. The beach does have some redeeming qualities. Free parking (there is no way they could charge people here!), a couple of small playgrounds, bathrooms, fresh water showers, and a covered pavilion with an observation deck. I'm sure the place has nice sunsets and the adjacent restaurant (Sam's Beach Bar) looked interesting.

Small beach but clean and great views. If you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the larger beaches, this is the place to go. Very enjoyable and peaceful views.

Small, pretty park next to Sam's Beach Bar and across from Inn on the Beach. The sand and pavilions were clean and uncrowded on the summer Sunday we were there. Most of the shoreline has a seawall, but it's a pretty place to relax and there is an unarmored section for swimming. Parking costs $2. You'll hear the band from Sam's, but it's a merry crowd and sound, and family-appropriate. Swim shoes are a good idea in the water for those who don't want to step on seagrass or rocks.

Breaker wall, flooded walkway and a sandy place to sit.

I was surprised to find this local gem practically at the end of route 52. Not much of a beach but that isn't everything. There are a couple of large pavilions where I would prefer to eat a packed lunch, grill burgers or just sit for a beautiful view of the Gulf. There is a quaint hotel and a tiki style bar with gorgeous outdoor views where I'm sure the locales get their drink on. Make a visit if you've never been if for no other reason than to check another local town off of your "Florida coast towns" list.

    Plenty of dining areas.

If you want a beach, you will be disappointed. But if you want a nice place to have a picnic or BBQ with a bunch of people (there are grills and large covered eating areas), a stroll along the water, maybe some drinks and chow at Sam's Beach Bar while watching the sunset... it's pretty decent. Easy access, plenty of parking.

    Early daybreak in February.

Nice picnic area and adjacent restaurants. Not much Beach though. Really just a sea wall but you can catch awesome sunsets here.

Was a nice, small beach, dog friendly to visit. The parking is free and people friendly.

Nice spot for families, especially those with small children. The beach is calm and not overcrowded. There is a snack bar with many options.

The small beach's water level is low, enough for kids to play in, there are a lot of barnacles, so swimming shoes are good.

The entire park is nestled up against the beautiful water. Today the tress were green & a breeze cooled the temperature as the sun was shining bright. What a HAPPY place! There's a 24/7 boat ramp w/ trailer parking. (Boat launching/trailer parking is $5 daily.) This park is six acres on the Gulf of Mexico. According to the website, there are 1,900 feet of beach frontage, 200 feet of swimming area, & 290 feet of beach front w/ fishing access. There are picnic tables, charcoal grills, a pedestal shower, restrooms, water fountains, a bike rack, a playground for very young children, swings, & at least five pavilions. (One is two story, although the second story serves only as an observation deck.) Sam's on the Beach & Inn on the Gulf are located on the park grounds; there's a large parking lot that attempts to accommodate the park & the businesses. According to multiple articles, finding a parking space in the evening (pre pandemic) was a major challenge. Please see the park pics as I am unable to adequately capture this memorial park's beauty in words alone.

We walked past every booth, exploring what each one served, foods, trinkets, T shirts and other hand made craft items. We settled on grouper sandwiches from burger boyz, a Hispanic twist on some of the worst foods we've ever eaten. I just wanted clam strips. (You usually get a good sized portion) not this place! 2 huge scoops of nasty, cold rice with very little flavor and it was a bit mushy. Then a tiny cup , half filled with soured coleslaw. Just a handful of small clam strips. When I say small, I mean half the size of a normal clam strips. They were ok. $10.00 for a very watered down lemonade. The food and drink cost close to $40.00!!!! Lousy food, lousy service! Now the funnel cake was from a food truck called, A fork in the road. THEY are the only reason for 2 stars. The funnel cake was fried to a golden brown and loaded with powdered sugar. Very delicious. Their price $10.00, reasonable for how thick and large the funnel cake was. The 2 young men serving were pleasant and eagerly smiled as they held up their masterpiece. There were tents set up with tables and chairs. But, there were no lights so we had to eat in the dark. There was a band playing. They were pretty good, playing rock and roll. To be honest with anyone reading this review, we will not go back to one of these seafood festivals. The food was terrible, the service was bad and the prices were ridiculously stupid! Definitely not worth the money. By the time we made it home, none of us were feeling good. We were bloated, a bit nauseated too. Sorry to say, but this was the worst seafood festival we've ever been to.
