They took my credit card prior which was fine but puts me in a bad position later on. So I lay on the table and the facialist starts going over what I need done and tried to upsell me to a TRIPLE CHEMICAL PEEL. I have never had a chemical peel before and tbh I didn't think my skin was so terrible. When I express my hesitation and mention the service I booked for she told me she understood if I couldn't afford it but that the service I was getting wouldn't really do anything for me. I've had many facials in my life I can't imagine a deep cleansing facial with extra paid time wouldn't do anything. There's a non refundable deposit which I didn't want to lose so I forged ahead anyway and she was right. She didn't do much but steam and so a basic cleansing on my face with a few pore extractions. I was hoping to get laser facial hair removal here which i definitely did not do because of this horrendous experience. Not to mention the deep cleansing facial was over 150 dollars so it's not like i was skimping in the first place. It was totally uncomfortable and I wish i had spoken up in the moment but I felt like I'd lose money anyway and I'd already driven half an hour to get there. I'd give it no stars if I could.

Hubby wanted me to get a second opinion to compare treatment info and pricing before making the decision to move forward. We went to Studio Esthetique and met with the owner, Vladimir and an RN, Jordan. Both were happy to answer any questions I had and concerns. The facility was very clean. My timing was so good because they were running a 50% off deal for the holidays! The other consult I had gone to was not offering that good of a deal. My husband surprised me and gifted me the cool sculpting treatments at Studio Esthetique. I had a great experience there, I did two sessions which is the recommended amount to start with. Jordan was in charge of me and did a great job making me comfortable and answering any questions during the treatment. We chatted it up and had some laughs! She is lovely! Vladimir made sure to be there my first treatment day to be certain all the applicators were perfectly positioned. There were extra precautions needed because I had an umbilical hernia surgery a few years back. There can be complications if the applicators are not properly positioned around the belly button. The front desk staff were very nice, as well as, accommodating! I mixed up one of my appointment dates and they were super understanding about it. They were still able to see me the same day I missed my appointment time. As for the cool sculpting results, it is still too soon for me to tell how well it is working for me. Two of my friends said they could already see a difference after my first treatment. It can take months to really start seeing an obvious change. Response to Sandra's (Owner's) Message Just FYI for everyone…read more- this place thinks "I believe" I had a reaction. I sent them all the photos of the bruised and burnt skin. It has not healed in weeks. They insisted I come in to the store to inspect in person , which I did. In spite of that they have the audacity to say I "believe" there was a reaction. This shows how sensitive they are to their customers. If they really care about the customer service, then refund me my money. Do they really think I would come back to this place for waxing after the experience I've had. This should tell people how this place cares about their customers. I have been requesting them for a refund but they kept telling me no and "do whatever you need to" which has forced me to put this review. If you need anymore evidence, checkout other reviews on Yelp and Google about this place. I am beyond disappointed and furious with my laser hair removal experience at Dare to Be Bare in Hartsdale! I went in for a laser hair removal treatment that left me with severe burns and discoloration--weeks later, I'm still healing, both physically and emotionally. The technician never fully explained the potential risks or complications and instead kept assuring me that the treatment was safe and effective for my skin type, claiming most clients see little to no hair regrowth after completing their sessions. During the treatment, I experienced intense burning and pain, which I voiced immediately. I was told, "Your skin doesn't feel hot, so you're fine." That couldn't have been more wrong. I followed all aftercare instructions as provided, but just days later, my skin turned very dark and visibly burned. When I reached out to the owner to request a refund, not only did she dismissed my injuries, but she also refused to take any accountability. I received zero support, no empathy, and no refund--just a cold response that this was a "normal skin reaction" and I should have read the contract. I trusted this place with my skin and relied on their professional guidance. Instead, I was left with lasting damage and no sense of responsibility from their side.
