Nice little diner. Ate late afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Large menu with decent prices. My daughter had breakfast and I had a patty melt. Both entrees with drinks was $25. The food came out super fast, hot and tasty. The restaurant was adjacent to a 24hr. gas station/mini mart and next to our hotel so it was very convenient. I have a crow to pick with someone. I was told that the points portion of your business is done by some outside business. The problem is the info is entered on the Buckhannon end, but is does not arrive on my end (Smartphone). This has happen on more than one occasion! The great news is Jessica, Krystal, Brittany, Brodee, and Cailee continue to do an outstanding job! Now if we could get your vendor to rise to their level everyone would be just perfect!!! Plus the HVAC still has not been repaired. It may have to be replaced. Seeing how this restaurant is open seven days a week this presents an issue. I do not want to come across as the squeaking wheel that needs the grease. Overall I enjoy this establishment, perhaps that is why I eat there so often. Lately daily. Fair restaurant in Buckhannon This restaurant is a stand-alone building located on the south side of Weston Road in front of a Comfort Inn and Suites. It is easy to get to and is in the middle of a parking lot so there is plenty of parking around the structure. There seemed to be lots of booths to seat customers and lots of windows to let in light. We were seated immediately. We visited on Halloween and the staff was dressed up in costume. Very cute and appreciated as we were traveling. They offer you laminated menus for ordering and have a good selection of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our waitress took our order quickly and was very pleasant. This was the first time that we have visited this location. The tables were cleaned between customers and the floor was clean. We ordered tea, coffee, scrambled eggs, raisin toast, French toast, and bacon. The food was good although the french toast was only 1 piece with bacon. This all cost $20. The food came out quickly and was good. Overall, prices seemed a little high, portions appeared a little small, staff was friendly, food was good and the place was clean. read more

I phoned in a to-go order and was told it would be 40 minutes before we could pick it up. That would have been fine, if the food we picked up would have been correct and edible. However, it was one of the worst experiences eating out that we've ever had. My husband and I both ordered the new southern fried chicken casserole and what a catastrophe it was. He added ham, onion, and instead of the white gravy substituted sausage gravy, and Texas toast. I only asked for my gravy to be on the side. When we got the food home, my husband's container was almost empty and mine was over stuffed. He had nothing but hash brown and eggs in his casserole where as mine had everything including ham, onion, and sausage gravy. Our Texas toast was only one slice of bread split in half for us to share. I called the restaurant and told them I would be returning the food and wanted our money back. They told me I couldn't until the next day. We returned the food that night and couldn't get our money refunded until the day after. The cook even stuck his fingers in the food and then told us we could take it back home and eat it! We will never eat there again. read more

If you are staying at the Hampton Inn it's a no brainer. You can literally walk across the parking lot. To go to McDonalds would be a 20 mile round trip. I actually had never been to a Huddle House and was picturing a Waffle House. I had the crispy chicken sandwich combo and wife had a waffle breakfast. Both were on point and tasty. Bare bones crew so be patient if they are busy. Polite and clean - I mean it's not a gourmet restaurant. If you are nearby there is no reason to avoid this place. I would eat here again if I was in the area. Met my families needs today and I really enjoyed my meal and so did the family. Greasy? Less then waffle house - way better then I was expecting. The coffee was fresh and hot and I had the stuffed hash-browns with toast...it was solid diner food but the best part of the entire meal was my waitress Sonja. Good conversation and a cool head - because the place was busy. We stop a little less then a dozen times per year for several years, ever since it opened. The food is always good, I never experience greasy food. I usually get their veggie omelette with egg beaters or egg whites with wheat bread. My party usually experiment with different menu items. I have been lucky with waitresses and waiters, but in the years eating there I have experienced bad service a few times. This can be expected occasionally anywhere you eat. If you are in the area I can recommend this establishment, it is usually clean and has the feeling of the old sixty style restaurant where you could get a cup of coffee for a dime. Of course the prices are a lot more then in the sixties but the prices average to be a good value for the money. They have always accommodated us for special requests. Ask for limited salt, or extra anything and they have always taken the time to take care of the customers. This dinning experience is closer to five stars, but I still hold out from giving five, but if you are in the area and are looking for good food, try this place. :) read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. They weren't busy, 2 men, 2 women, and a manager there and all of the tables except for 1 were filthy. We could see the kitchen were we sat and I kept hearing a loud BANG! They were throwing their dirty dishes on the floor in front of the sink. There was a large pile just sitting there on the floor!! A few more people came in. They keep their plates above the grill. All of the plates fell on the floor, another BANG! The cook gathered them all up and PUT THEM BACK ABOVE THE GRILL WITHOUT WASHING THEM!! All the manager said was, "Did you have an accident?" I then noticed the sun shining on the pictures above us. Old grease was just running down the tiles and on the pictures. This place is a major health hazard. How could a passing inspection be possible? I'm not going to even get far into the waitress, but she obviously had not bathed in quite a while and acted annoyed if you needed ANYTHING! That was a missed lunch because we simply couldn't eat it after all of that. Someone needs to take a look at this location. read more

JUST PASS THIS PLACE NO MATTER HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE!!! I never write reviews but this place is so bad I had to. Upon entering someone hollered from the back "Welcome to Huddle House!" Okay...friendly greeting no problem. At first glance there were plenty of tables with dirty plates from previous customers who had eaten. We found a clean small booth and sat down and a helpful customer offered their booth to us because it was bigger and he was dining alone. The waitress took our order, came with our drinks, refilled our drinks, and it took about 40 mins for scrambles eggs, hashbrowns, veggie omelet, and turkey sausage that came out wrong. I had to ask a different waitress to correct it and when corrected it was greasy. I had to go to the cashier for condiments after asking for them from the 1st waitress and the cook brought it to our booth. We had to go to the cashier for our bill because it was never brought to us and our waitress reappeared there. I asked what we were being charged for and she tried to make us pay without telling us and kept stating "you were only charged what you ate." She got frustrated and was snippy with the owner when giving us a discount. I was slipping on the greasy floor passing by the open kitchen which had dirty dishes on the floor and other food on the floor. I went to the restroom and it was help yourself there with getting your own TP because it met me at the door and not in the stall, there was no soap, but there was running water funny that.
