Had vehicle towed here in the evening and the next morning (a Saturday no less) I was back on the road with my family. They even picked me up from the nearby Super 8 so I didn't have to walk in the rain.

What killed my like though is when we blew an engine in one of our vehicles. I had it towed to DT and talking to the owner, I told him I would be having problems coming up with the money but would keep him informed. The only option I had he suggested me not taking due to the high interests rate. He told me that my vehicle would be safe in back and keep him up to date. Yes it was a few months later when I decided to have the vehicle towed to my house until I could come up with the money or options. About this same time I received a letter in the mail from the county clerks office telling me I had lean against me from DT for vehicle storage. And guess how much...wait for it, the exact amount of what I was going to be charged to replace the engine. When I called the owner, he insisted that he had told me there would be a storage fee. He had NEVER told me about a storage fee nor had he ever charged a storage fee. Needless to say, I couldn't pay it, the vehicle was sold at auction to settle the lean, and we are still getting letters from the finance company asking about the vehicle. Oh btw, the finance company wrote the vehicle off after talking to DT. My opinion, don't use them!!!

The people working were extremely kind and treated us with a lot of respect! They took the guests that were there and the appointments over the walk ins which we appreciate because some shops prioritize the walk ins. We appreciate how the management is working here, how when a technician pulled the truck out they heard tire rub (which is normal on a 2500 sized truck with wide tires on it)but the manger immediately checked on it to make sure that everything was alright with the truck. To get all 4 tires done it took about 1 hour and 30 mins roughly which is the quickest we've had tires taken off the rim, put back on the rim and balanced! Great crew and great service!

Staff tried to talk me into replacing all tires although they had few miles and car is garage kept and out of the sun. Note; they added a "service charge" due to use of credit card - this is not posted anywhere and you only know when the bill is posted. After a long wait they said the car was ready, but it did not appear. Then someone came out to the waiting room and said they wanted to check the spare for an additional charge. The new tire appears to be properly mounted but will not use this business again.

Been a customer of El Camino (Georgetown Road) for a few years. They have great hours and service…read morehad always been top-notch. They always treated me fairly and did not try to rip off customers like other tire places. I had (notice the use of past tense) such positive experiences there that I recommended the store to several other people. Today that all changed...dramatically. I noticed one of my tires was leaking so I went to the shop at about 3:15. I got in right away. I was told that I actually needed two front tires. I agreed to that as well as an alignment and to have the tires balanced. New tires got mounted pretty quickly. Then a worker came and got my keys (actually there was already another set in the car) to do the alignment. Then I waited and waited and waited. Numerous people came in the store, had their vehicle serviced and left. Not me though. I waited, waited and waited some more. Very little communication from the El Camino staff. When I asked what was taking so long, I was told there were people ahead of me and they were "working on it." Then I waited, waited and waited some more. It got to the point that I was virtually the only one left in the waiting room. The staff had to know I was getting upset, yet they did ZERO to address my frustration. Finally, at almost 6 pm, when I had been there nearly 3 hours, I went to the desk and demanded my car back, that I would just pay for whatever work was done, and leave. That apparently sparked them to actually finish the work. I finally got the keys back 10 minutes later. I paid the bill and left. I understand that maybe the work on my vehicle "fell through the cracks" or for some reason was taking longer than expected. That happens in this line of business. But there is no excuse for the lack of communication and the unwillingness to treat a longtime customer without even a modicum of respect. They apparently didn't value my business or care that after such a poor experience I would be unlikely to ever come back and would certainly not recommend it to my friends. I would not recommend this place after what I experienced today.

He ended up taking the car to Walmart, where they were able to properly repair the tire. When he contacted El Camino to request a refund for the unsuccessful repair, they refused. That experience was disappointing and concerning, especially since tire repairs directly affect safety. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business for tire repairs. Instead, I suggest Discount Tire or Belle Tire. They offer free tire repairs when possible and stand behind their work.
